Room was clean, nice size, staff was nice and friendly. Breakfast was very good and plenty of it. Many options. Breakfast and front desk staff all worked hard to keep tables cleaned and food supplied. Was a great place to stay and price was very good.

hungry, but not hungry enough for the junk served

Stay ruined because the restaurant next door was closed, so we tried the restaurant in the hotel. The food was disgusting. Highly processed rubbish. The "green vegetables" on the menu, were whitish grey and hard and rubbery. Been in the freezer for a few years before whatever was done to them at the hotel was done. Skin-on fries, did not have any skin on, and I wonder if they ever had been potatoes. Re-constituted muck. And as for the Hunter's chicken... words fail me. Maybe what was a chicken breast had been beaten to a couple of millimetres thick, coated in some thick disgusting batter, deep fried and coated with a sickly sweet sauce.

Overnight stay whilst visiting friends in the area

Because the pub alongside the hotel was closed for refurbishment, the hotel bar was busy. There was only one till operating which for the demand on the night wasn’t helpful
