TLC required, please!

Overall, very nice. Staff were helpful and friendly. However the hotel needs some TLC, featuring carpets, windows, lifts and paintwork. Sofa in room 304 is very saggy.

The exterior of this hotel is in need of attention and at first is a little off putting. The inside is completely the opposite. Spotlessly clean, a grand staircase and very friendly and welcoming staff. We stayed in a deluxe suite. Whilst clean and comfortable, it did look a little tired and probably needs updating. Breakfast is buffet style and is typical off most hotels. Bar area is small but has a good selection of drinks. Hotel is opposite Cardiff Castle and the Principality Stadium. It is just minutes walk into the centre of Cardiff. A water taxi is a couple of minutes down the road that will take you to Cardiff Bay to see The Senedd, The Millennium Centre and the other attractions. We would definitely recommend this hotel and we will certainly visit again in the future.

On arrival person on reception was professional friendly, room was fair walk from lift,very nice room ,on visit to bar bartender could not operate the till ,then when able to spoke to my female giving the cost etc wgen it was myself who went to the bar and ordered very unprofessional.

The staff were the highlight, without exception friendly, helpful and efficient. Clearly the hotel has been grand in its time. It is now dated and while kept clean and reasonably decorated, some of the carpets are past their sell by date and having no usb connection in the rooms is now pretty rare. Breakfast was a reasonable buffet, though scrambled rather than fried eggs would have been good. Very central, close to all main tourist and sports venues, particularly the rugby!

Terrible, I requested a change to my reservation date and between Hotels.com and the Angel hotel I was fobbed off between the 2 of you. This meant I could not travel and no organisation came back confirming my request to change the date. Very disappointing and expensive for me. My request was done within the time frame that I was given through this platform.
