Vacation home in the Marais du Cotentin - D-Day Beaches

Nice house in stone and mass, located 2 kilometers from the center of Carentan les Marais and in the heart of the Cotentin marshes. We welcome you in our furnished, newly renovated, all year.
This independent and spacious house of 180 m², for up to 8 people, has on the ground floor, a large living room, a games room, a kitchen, toilet, back kitchen,
Upstairs four bedrooms, one with private shower room, a bathroom with toilet. Bedroom 1-2-3 = bed 140 and bedroom 4 = 2 bed 90.
The facade facing south with views of the marshes and equipped with a large awning, overlooks a small stone terrace along the house, and a private garden of 500 m², closed.

Car parking is under cover under a large car port.

Facilities: Flat screen TV, Washing machine, Dishwasher, Induction hobs, Electric oven and microwave, Fridge, Coffee maker, Toaster, Barbecue, Garden furniture, Pool table

The house is close to downtown Carentan, shops, restaurants, the aquatic center, Haras d'Auvers, the train station and is easily accessible by the Paris-Cherbourg RN 13 road.

Carentan les Marais will make you discover its historical heritage, its marina with its promenade and its lock, the canal bridge, the towpaths, the river ballads in the marshes, the natural regional park of the marshes of Cotentin and Bessin with its Ornithological reserves of the Douves and Beauguillot Bridges.

The house is ideally located to visit the beaches and landing sites and museums, Ste Mother Church, Utah beach, Pointe du Hoc, Omaha Beach, Colleville sur Mer, Arromanches.

To the north of the department you can discover: Cherbourg en Cotentin, the city of the sea; at St Vaast la Hougue, the fortifications of Vauban; in the Hague, Jobourg's nose.

Visit also Coutances and its Cathedral, Mont Saint Michel, Bayeux and its tapestry, Hippodrome of Caen, the Channel Islands (Jersey, Guernsey ...), Granville, Ile Chausée, The stud of St Lô, and well other things ......... without forgetting the Norman gastronomy.

Great D Day location

Lots of museums villages and beaches within reach. (30-40 mins) Good selection of local restaurants we tried 4 (if menus bit limited) very quiet location ideal if like to relax and peace and quiet nothing within walking distance however

Nice family holiday

A very pleasant stay with room for the whole family (grandparents, parents and two grandchildren) with everything needed. The pool table proved an unexpected source of evening entertainment. A quiet, peaceful situation looking out over the marshes, and very convenient for exploring D-Day beaches, memorials and museums, Bayeux, and Normandy food and drink producers.

Lovely stay!

We had a lovely at this nice house. It was clean, Cody, a lovely fireplace. There’s a lot to see in the neighborhood: Utahbeach and Omahabeach. We sure would like to come back here.

Très bon séjour

Nous avons passé un agréable séjour entre amies avec enfants. Les ados ont apprécié la wifi :) et un enfant de 6 ans les jeux, jouets et livres laissés à disposition. Nous avons fait des visites chaque jour tout en appréciant cuisiner dans une maison bien équipée. Nous avons eu un peu froid une soirée et les propriétaires ont de suite mis le chauffage ( ils habitent dans la rue).

En general la casa estaba bien. Buenas camas, buena ubicacion, gran casa. Con alguna cosa a mejorar...(poco menaje de cocina para 8 personas, falta de armario en alguna habitacion, en la ducha el suelo del baño se llena de agua por falta de una mampara cerrada)

De merveilleuse retrouvailles

Nos amis et moi cherchions une maison pour pouvoir nous retrouver après une longue période. Cette maison avait tous les prérequis sur le papier et il s'avère qu'elle est encore mieux en vrai ! Billard, cheminée, jeux de société, jeux vidéos et même réalité virtuelle (que j'ai apporté) nous avons pu nous amuser comme dans notre enfance en étant au chaud et au calme. Je recommande plus que vivement cette propriété merveilleuse qui, au delà de sa praticité et de sa propreté, vous apportera une sérénité qu'importe la raison de votre venue. /Guillaume.

Super location, nous recommandons.

Nous venons pour la deuxième fois. Les propriétaires sont toujours aussi chaleureux. La maison est très accueillante avec sa cheminée où il fait bon se retrouver après nos randonnées, son billard et ses chambres confortables. Superbes randonnées dans le marais ainsi que sur les plages chargées d'histoire.

Merci pour l'excellent accueil, la réactivité et la gentillesse des hôtes! Magnifique maison, spacieuse et joliment décorée! Nous avons apprécié nos soirées au coin du feu, et si l'on a la chance avec la météo, le jardin doit être très sympa ! Location très bien située, très belle région. Location très agréable, nous recommandons.

Propriétaires très agréables et attentifs. Maison confortable , avec sa cheminée et son Billard ( surtout en confinement en fin de séjour) Nous pensons y revenir.
