Formerly the site of the head gardener’s cottage for the Castle grounds, the property has been rebuilt and extended to the footprint it has today. On entering Garden Cottage you are immediately met by its luxurious interior and the cottage is full of light. The hub of Garden Cottage is the social space on the ground floor. From the large kitchen/dining room, which is the ideal place to relax with friends over a home cooked meal, this opens onto the sitting area with its luxury leather sofas and open fire. The interior is completed by elegantly decorated and luxurious bedrooms, boasting quality lines and towels and the bedrooms are complemented by either en-suites or separate high quality bathrooms. Garden Cottage really is the last word in luxury and the perfect place to enjoy a family break in the beautiful Cumbrian countryside. There is ramp access to the rear entrance.

Great Corby is a desirable and very pretty little village and has a well-regarded pub and a microbrewery where you can enjoy some fine ales brewed on site. The village is beautifully placed above the River Eden where an impressive Victorian viaduct spans the river and provides pedestrian access to the nearby village of Wetheral. Garden Cottage is the perfect location for exploring further afield. Enjoy a visit to Hadrian’s Wall, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, Talkin Tarn is also a lovely day out where you can enjoy water sports on the Tarn and enjoy the lovely woodland walks. The delightful little market town of Brampton is close by where there are a mix of shops and restaurants and the Border city of Carlisle where you can enjoy high street shopping or cultural sites. Close to the Lake District National Park, the North Pennines and Scotland your location here at Garden Cottage is superb.
