What an amazing surprise. Beautiful property, comfortable cozy room, more than enough space for mom dad and 2 young daughters, and just a 5 minute walk from one of the most beautiful So Cal beaches. Cant wait to return 10/10.

I loved loved the property! What an amazing GEM! I was hesitant at first not knowing the area BUT what a wonderful surprise! The gentleman at the property was so kind and helpful! The room was absolutely PERFECT! Quiet area! The beach was right there! Down the street is the Village Area. I can't speak highly enough about the property! What a wonderful experience.

Pacific Room: Large room, big bathroom with extra amenities like a fireplace, whirlpool, ceiling fan & plenty of ocean decor. The value is very good & worth every penny. There are some small imperfections like the shower is smallish & two of the jacuzzi jets are too high up, but everything else has better than expected. It’s not modern for (like) teenager’s taste, but for middle aged adults & up, it feels like home.

This place is wonderful! Quiet and very comfortable. Rooms are spacious and it’s super close and walking distance to many restaurants and the village. Alfredo is very friendly and nice! He does a great job taking care of everything and made us feel like we were right at home.

This was a great property for the money and is exceptional value. Comfortable, cosy and only a short walk to central Carlsbad. Slight issue with getting the door code from the booking company but the manager was a great help, would definitely stay again.

We loved the location, neighborhood, charm of old school facility. The room needed rug cleaning and some things did not work (lights and fan). The fact that there is no person on site except a cleaning person is problematic. I mistakenly left some items in the armoire when we left and there is NO WAY to speak to anyone to arrange retreiving them - phone number does not answer - I submitted a note on the website “contact us” page, but no response. Very frustrating.

We had a very nice stay at Pelican Cove. The room was spacious and decorated beautifully. The fire place was a wonderful added feature to take the nip out the air at night. Two things I would change is (1) the arm chair and chase lounge. They are were filthy with holes, rips and tears. Although they were white, they appear to have never been cleaned. (2) Install a new shower hear. The shower was like trying to bath under the bathroom faucet. Other than those two issues, the facility was amazing.

The inn has self check-in that was so easy. I was in the La Jolla room. The room is very large with lots of windows and a fan in one, a mini fridge, a sitting area for makeup outside the bathroom and two chairs for lounging. The bed was comfortable with lots of pillows. The gas fireplace kept the room warm. Someone in another review mentioned hearing trains, but I only heard one once. The room was at the front of the property facing the street and it was very quiet. I will definitely be back. I took the train from Los Angeles into Oceanside and it was a $5 Lyft ride to the inn.
