A treat to stay !

Lovely stay at the Homestead, Maria & Kevin were perfect hosts. Lovely room on top floor with ever so comfortable bed and everything you wanted in room & bathroom. Breakfast was amazing, would love to come back in the future.

Lovely weekend away, enjoyed our stay at the Homestead, Maria and Kevin were fantastic hosts. Melling is very quiet so you will need to drive to a shop/pub, that said we did walk to the pub, 45 mins. Definitely recommend and were made very welcome in their beautiful home.

Wonderful location. Amazing house. Owners very friendly and knowledgeable about the area. Breakfast was lovely. Bed was a little small and the roll top bath is really good if you around 5ft.

Stopped over here on toute from Scotland to south Wales. Lovely old property filled with period furnishings. Huge room, very comfortable bed. Nothing was too much trouble for Kevin and Maria. Woukd highly recommend

The Homestead

The Homestead, a beautiful B&B with great character. Sits in Melling about 5 miles from Kirkby Lonsdale. The hosts Kevin snd Maria, couldn't do enough to make our stay as memorable as possible. Kevin dropped us and picked us up from one of the local pubs, that we had booked in for ouf evening meal. Whilst Maria cooked wonderful breakfasts. Definitely worth a visit, we are looking to book again.

This was a treat! Canopy bed, stone stairway with tapestries, exquisite furniture. I felt like I had entered a Jane Austen novel. Wish I could have spent a week here.

Absolutely amazing

We had an amazing experience at homestead kevin and maria were fantastic and very attentive hosts and our room was extraordinarily beautiful . The breakfast was also 5 star and we mentioned the day before it was our wedding anniversary today and when we came down for breakfast they had left us a card and chocolates will definitely be returning and very soon x
