Benjamin was able to check us in early and upgraded our room. We appreciated this very much. This is in a great location, convenient to everything. The room was excellent, nicely insulated to keep all the noise from outside barely audible. The breakfast was hearty and brought to our room each day. We really enjoyed our stay at this beautiful hotel.

I stayed at this hotel in September 2025 and we were completely satisfied with the experience. The following lists the positives for this place: 1. Location was excellent, very easy to walk to anything in the old city and surroundings. The street was not a main tourist street without much traffic, so the nights were quiet. 2. Room (really an apartment) was spacious with full kitchen (stove and refrigerator), washer/dryer combo, and cookware/eatingware, and toiletries. 3. Front desk staff was very cordial and helpful. 4. Good selections of hot breakfasts which were made fresh and delivered to the room at the requested time. 5. Housekeeping was excellent. 6. Entire property was in good condition I can recommend this hotel without any reservations.

I highly recommend staying here and will definitely book again when I'm back in Cartagena. The location was amazing, in the old town and walkable to plenty restaurants, shops, and events. The staff went above and beyond for us, bringing complimentary breakfast to our room every morning at whatever time we requested, gave us a complimentary cake on our last day, and were always happy to answer questions. They provided a shuttle to the airport free of charge as well. When we went, the rooftop pool was under renovations, so we weren't able to use it, but the rest of the hotel was in impeccable shape. The room was large and very clean. Would definitely recommend to anyone traveling to Cartagena.

The property is very clean. Sadly, many things in the room kept breaking. First the remote to the AC unit, then the A/C unit broke which required us to move to another room. Benjamin was always very helpful and friendly and assisted us as much as possible to relocate to another room. Now our bed size went from a King bed to a double bed. Furthermore, the bed was very uncomfortable to sleep on. Now in this new room the iron was broke and we also did not have a nice dinning area anymore. The breakfast options offered were decent. Our favorite front desk staff was Benjamin. He always greeted us and assisted us with anything we might have needed. I can not say the same for the night shift front desk guy ( don’t even know his name because he never introduced himself). We always greeted him but did not get that in return from him. Almost seemed like he doesn’t like his job. Overall, nice place to stay. I can only recommend.

Great location and space

The place is terrific in terms of space, furnishings and location. We had a two bedroom two bathroom unit and loved our time there. The employees are very nice, but only two speak English so if you don't speak Spanish it could be a problem. Benjamin was incredibly attentive to our every need - even responding on WhatsApp during his time off. He is exceptional. They were doing some kind of work while we were there which made the entire place smell like turpentine. At first it was just in the common areas but it permeated our door and came into the unit. Additionally, the first night we had no hot water. They fixed it the next day, but it seems that it should not have happened. Also, do not go to this place for the pool. It is small and not particularly inviting.

Absolutely wonderful place to stay. The property is beautiful and peaceful, tastefully decorated, and well appointed. I had everything I needed in my suite and the breakfast delivered to my room each morning was delicious and a great start to the day. The staff were attentive and helpful, setting up cabs and spa treatments for me. The best part is the location—beautiful views of the surrounding historic Centro neighborhood and walkable to everything—shops, museums, galleries, restaurants and bars, banks, pharmacies, churches, and many live performances in the streets. I am absolutely returning to Cartagena and absolutely staying here when I do. A++ for this hotel!

This is a really nice hotel. Location is great, the terrace with a small pool has a beautiful view of the San Pedro Claver church, the staff is very welcoming. There are different options for breakfast and they bring it to your room always on time. They even upgraded our room the second night for the rest of our stay. Highly recommended!

We loved Casa Claver. The room were very spacious, modern and clean, and the services by Benjamin and Zindy were spot on. The location was also great; very close to everything. I highly recommend it if you like staying in boutique hotels.

We had an incredible stay here! It was the first stop on our Colombian honeymoon, and we felt so lucky to stay in the only room on the top floor, with a balcony and amazing views. The hotel is very peaceful and quiet, we had the rooftop pool to ourselves most of the time. The staff were incredibly helpful and friendly, and had left us a very kind welcome for our honeymoon. The views of the surrounding city could not get better, and the location was perfect, right in the middle of the old town, so close to restaurants, bars, cafes and it felt very safe to walk around. The breakfast was delicious as well. 10/10, will recommend anyone who goes to Cartagena to stay here.

The staff were very friendly throughout my stay and the property was in the middle of Walled Street (my preference). It made my commute for sightseeing and excursions so convenient. The hotel can use some upgrading e.g have card keys instead of a standard key. Overall, I had a ball in Colombia and look forward to returning soon.

Incredible all around.

This was the best stay at any hotel I’ve ever had. It was my boyfriend’s birthday and they went above and beyond by beautifully decorating the room for him (upon request) and even majorly upgraded our room. We were provided amazing recommendations, the staff all felt like they really knew us and wanted us to have the best experience. The roof pool area is absolutely beautiful. I cannot recommend this place enough. Amazing location too within the walled city, not loud but still right there with all the things only steps away.

Very unique property. The location is amazing you can really walk to most things. The breakfast was great , a lot of options and delicious every time. The views are really pretty as well. My only complaint was noise , I think my room was not in a good location because two out if the three nights I stayed I could hear people laughing and screaming all night. Overall is a great hotel only issue was the noise.
