Excellent stay in Cartegena with our husband and kids! If you want a unique experience that feels more authentically Colombian I recommend caribe with flying colors! Breakfast is a nice perk and an opportunity to eat and try Colombian food! Staff were extremely nice and very responsive. The pool was amazing for my kids. The hotel is located near everything if you want to see more in Cartegena outside of the walled city. We took very inexpensive cabs to the walled city and other parts of Cartegena during our 5 day stay.

The hotel itself was a luxurious property filled with many amenities and views including a wildlife reserve where you’re greeted by many friendly animals. The staff also were extremely knowledgeable and friendly and made my friends and I feel like part of their family. Would highly recommend for solo or family stays.

My stay overall was great, my only complaint is that I booked a 1 bedroom suite, but instead I was given just a regular suite with a king bed. By the time the discrepancy I only had one day left on my trip so I figured it was best I just stay with the room I was in

Caribe has a ton of history and is 80 years old as the oldest in Cartagena. My family of 6 did a short down and up from the states and it was magnificent. Cartagena surroundings are safe. If you go to the beach you may not like the peddlers, but we actually took advantage of it. Massages, Pedicures and Manicures all along the ocean front. $35 us for a half hour on jet ski… The seafood, oh the Seafood! No disappointments there. Loved the proximity to the old city and other attractions but truthfully we stayed by the pool and beach daily. Hotel a micro zoo with its own mini deer, peacocks, sloth, parrots and much more. Food and buffet were on point. It wasn’t your typical slightly off but edible carribean cuisine. Only downside was the loss of a belonging in the gym, which I thought for sure someone would have turned it. But didn’t. Wi fi was a little intermittent but we weren’t there to watch TV. Was able to take a zoom call by the pool with ease. Great trip overall. Highly recommend. PS. WhatsApp makes everything easier by the way.

My family and I had a fantastic stay at Hotel Caribe. Even though it’s an 80-year-old hotel, it is very well kept, maintaining its charm and elegance. The beautiful grounds and the presence of animals around the property made the experience truly unique and special. The pools and jacuzzi were absolutely incredible—perfect for relaxing after exploring the city and the beautiful islands. The service was top-notch, with attentive and friendly staff ensuring a wonderful stay. The only area for improvement would be updating the bathrooms to match the rest of the hotel’s charm. However, this didn’t take away from the overall experience. I highly recommend this hotel and would definitely stay again!

Stay was relaxing. The property is a little dated in terms of the rooms, nothing some updated renovations could not fix. However, an overall nice stay. The pool area in really nice, one could sit out there all day and truly enjoy nature and great weather.

The staff were amazing from beginning to end. My Spanish is not that great but I made it through. The pools were cleaned every single day. The breakfast was sprawling and fresh. The culture, the natives were world class. Cartagena owes me nothing! I will go back here a million more times. My suggestions are, take a trip to the Old City, Getsemani and do a tour of Cartagena with Chocolate Tourism. What an amazing trip for my daughter, she could not stay out of that pool. All 5 stars for me ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
