Grand Suite is comprised of 500+ sq. ft. of space including an en suite full bathroom with walk-in shower, large soaking tub, dual sinks, and even a warming lamp for stepping out of the shower on cold mornings.
The high cathedral ceiling features a picture window which gives you a spectacular view of the moon, the stars, and lazy clouds from the comfort of a king sized bed. A multitude of windows surround your space offering tons of light, and a cross-breeze that provides great sleeping weather.
House is a former lodge resort and is situated on a 9.6 acre estate with multiple structures. Plenty of room for exploration and outdoor enjoyment. Wildlife seen on property is not limited to: deer, bear, porcupine, woodchuck, squirrels and chipmunks, and many birds.
Located just a few miles from nearby Catskill, Hudson, Leeds and Coxsackie, the house is technically in rural Athens, NY. There are many amazing restaurants and attractions that the Hudson Valley has to offer. A road to road horseshoe driveway allows for easy drop-off and pick-up, avoiding stairs into the front entry. The 9.6 acre property is a world of its own, consisting of 4 structures: the main house, (4308 Sq ft), the renovated upstairs Red Barn with Loft (available for additional rate), the Snack Shack which once provided food for resort guests and now serves as an outdoor station for patio barbecues and outdoor events, and the 100 year old log cabin tavern/bar/casino made from local timber. (Currently closed for remodeling). Older locals can tell you fond sentimental stories of how rock bands and entertainment from New York City performed there in the 70's. (Shades of Dirty Dancing. :) You may feel the rich nostalgic history just by walking around the grounds and see several deer, spring fawns, and a full list of wildlife. One glance at the night sky and you'll see stars you never knew existed. That feature continues from the large picture window from the grand bedroom inside the house. Not your typical Airbnb, since it existed long before the app did.
