Spacious Year Round Cottage in the Heart of Cavendish

The Island Gales cottage on Forest Hills Lane is centrally located and seconds from all amenities and activities Cavendish has to offer. This newly renovated and beautifully decorated vacation home is on a private treed lot with plenty of green space for kids and adults to play. The property has 3 bedrooms plus a loft, 2.5 bathrooms, fully equipped spacious kitchen, large dining area, bright comfortable living room area, covered front porch, large side deck and firepit. The cottage sleeps 10 people.

As you walk in the door, you are greeted with the spacious kitchen which offers stainless steel appliances, ample counter space and storage, a pantry and an island with seating for two people. The large dining area with a gorgeous vaulted pine ceiling is situated just beyond the kitchen with seating for eight people. There are large windows overlooking the front porch and the landscaped front yard. Adjacent to the dining room is the bright airy living room that features two large sofas for comfortable seating, fireplace, and TV/Sat to help you relax after your long days of exploring.

Also found on the main level is the master bedroom with queen bed and 3-piece ensuite, the second bedroom with queen bed, main full bathroom and full size washer and dryer. Upstairs, you will find the third bedroom with double and twin bed, a loft area with three twin beds, a bench for reading and half bathroom.

The cottage also offers a large side deck located on the north side which is easily accessible from the living/dining area. The deck is outfitted with propane BBQ, dining tables and chairs along with comfortable conversation seating area and fire table. Enjoy the gorgeous summer evenings out on the deck or sitting around the adjacent firepit, with a crackling fire and roasting marshmallows.

For the early risers, you can enjoy your morning coffee on the front covered porch overlooking the landscaped yard.

For golfers in the group, some of PEIs premiere courses are nearby such as Green Gables, Eagles Glenn, Glasgow Hills, Anderson Creek. Forest Hills golf course is just at the end of the street.

Minutes away (within walking distance) from the cottage are Cavendish National Park beach and trails, Avonlea Village, Mariners Cove Boardwalk, Family Fun Park, Cavendish Boardwalk, Anne of Green Gables, Cavendish Grove hiking trails, restaurants, grocery store, liquor store and a gas station with a Tim Hortons.

The cottage comes complete with fully equipped kitchen, air conditioning, full size washer and dryer, Wi-Fi, satellite TV, Netflix/Prime/Disney+, bed linens, towels, beach towels, beach toys, outdoor games.

NOTE: Amenities in Cavendish are closed during the off season (mid October to May). During this period, the closest restaurants, liquor store and grocery store will be in North Rustico which is less than 10 minutes drive. The cottage is approximately 30 minutes from Charlottetown and 30 minutes from Summerside.
