Charleston Manor is a large 2 story farmhouse that is located at the foothills of the Smokey Mountains. Built in the late 1800's you will think Rhett Butler is coming down the stairs. The spacious front porch is ideal for sipping tea or relaxing and reading a book. There is a bonus room downstairs where an air mattress can be put if needed. It's a cozy room with a fireplace, TV and stereo. Downstairs is a large room with a gorgeous chandelier. Great for small gatherings.
With easy access from I-75, CM sits on 15 lush acres with a barn and pond. We are pet friendly and encourage owners to bring their fur babies. I do recommend keeping all pets on a leash. I would be sad if your pet wandered off. We live near historic Charleston, so there are trains that travel through frequently. We are about 15 minutes to Cleveland, Tn. and 30 minutes to the Ocoee River. There are many outdoor activities at the Ocoee and Hiwassee rivers. Cleveland has many tasty restaurants to choose from.
Charleston Manor is also an event venue, which is separate from VRBO. All parties/events must be preapproved, and a separate fee is required. I need to know this several days ahead of the event.

The place was lovely and had plenty of space for our visit. It was very close to great food and things to do. The owner Ms Norma was right there to help with anything we needed and was very sweet. The only thing missing was a walk in shower. This group of cousins are all over 70 and it was a little hard to get in and out of the tubs with showers. The stairway lift chair was a God send. Would definitely stay again. Thanks for sharing your beautiful place!

Softball Weekenders

We stayed for three nights for a ball tournament. The host was friendly and welcoming, as were her sweet dogs. The property itself is spacious, peaceful, and set on beautiful grounds—perfect for relaxing and enjoying the outdoors. For our group, it was a plus in having all bedrooms upstairs, as some of our group could sleep in (or go to bed early) and not be disturbed by others in our group who were downstairs. Additionally, a 12:00 check out time is ideal!

My Dream Home!

We rented this home for the weekend of my daughter's graduation from Lee University. It was absolutely perfect! Miss Norma has the house fully stocked with anything you would need for your stay. We had some friends and family over after the ceremony and there was plenty of room for everyone to relax and enjoy lunch. They even played soccer in the spacious backyard. I can't decide what my favorite part was. We absolutely loved the screened in porch. The room with the chandelier is to die for! I wish I would have had everyone dressed up like Bridgerton characters so we could have danced around in that room! Maybe I'll rent it again for that purpose. Lol The barn and pond are gorgeous backdrops for photos too. If you're looking for a peaceful stay in a home with tons of charactor Charleston Manor is your spot. We look forward to coming back!

April 2024 stay

Overall the house was very beautiful, clean and well stocked with everything we needed. The only minus was that all the bedrooms and the TV and sitting room were on the 2nd floor up some steep stairs. My senior friend had some issues navigating the stairs safely with her belongings.
