Construction Update (Updated 6/3/2026)

We would like to make our guests aware that there is an active commercial construction project close to this home.
Construction is typically scheduled Monday through Friday, and occasionally on Saturdays, between 8:00 AM and 5:00 PM. Depending on the stage of the project, some construction noise may be audible inside the home during working hours. Outside of those times, the area is generally quiet.
Current Project Updates:
We have been notified that there will be no further nighttime construction activity.
The townhomes located next door are expected to be completed in June 2026 and are nearly finished.
The project behind the property is currently scheduled for completion by December 2026.
Another project is beginning on St. Philip Street, but it is not expected to create noticeable noise at this home.

We continue to successfully host guests throughout the construction period and remain committed to providing an exceptional Charleston experience. We will continue to go above and beyond to ensure your stay is comfortable, relaxing, and enjoyable.

The Blue and White House is a charming 1,500-square-foot home located just one block off King Street in the heart of downtown Charleston. Newly constructed and thoughtfully furnished, the home features high-end appliances, stylish décor, and all the comforts needed for a memorable stay.
Whether you're planning a family vacation, girls' getaway, or couples' retreat, this home offers the perfect combination of comfort, convenience, and location. You'll be within walking distance of Charleston's renowned restaurants, shopping, historic attractions, and vibrant nightlife.

Fun family stay

The property was super clean and very nice for our family of 4. Everyone was able to have their own space when we returned in the evenings after long days of sight seeing. Owners are extremely responsive. Would stay here again!

Beautiful place and great location for tucked away eateries and shops! We would definitely recommend. Plus you get off street parking w a gate which is a major plus in Charleston! You get a ton of street noise however! Woke up 2 nights in a row (weekend) to loud groups of college kids. It cannot be helped and it is not the hosts fault (they were kind enough to leave a pack of earbuds, though we could’ve used a pack for each of us). Other than that, I would definitely stay here again.

Had everything we needed and in quiet neighborhood but close enough to all the activities, shops and restaurants to be convenient. Each bedroom with its own bath was a definite plus for us.

Cute place - very clean and safe

We were in town for a girls trip to celebrate our 40th Birthdays. This VRBO was so cute and clean. Beds were comfortable and hosts were very easy to communicate with. Very close to King street - loved our stay!!

Fabulous house in perfect area!

Everything was absolutely amazing! We thoroughly enjoyed the house. The beds were so comfy and linens were fantastic! Shower pressure was perfect! We didn’t use the kitchen other than the coffee maker and enjoyed coffee every morning in the sitting area. So fun! We were close to many great restaurants! Very walkable area and we felt safe the entire time. The construction was not an issue for us!

Beautiful home… What you see is what you get… Very nice!!

Wonderful place to stay. The home owners were always fast to respond and very kind! The home is clean and the beds are super comfortable. No issues during our stay. Close to the downtown market area, nice places to eat and not far at all from the beach! My family and I would definitely consider staying at this location in the future. We all enjoyed our stay for sure!! I would highly recommend this home to anyone looking to be in the Charleston area.

Beautifully decorated home

We came here for a girls weekend. The house is newly renovated and decorated so beautifully!!! Clean and meticulously cared for. It was a short walk to King St restaurants and shopping. We also walked to waterfront area which was a longer walk but do-able. Area felt a little on the outskirts but turned out to be easily accessible to day/night life. Amy was great and very responsive to any requests.

Perfect Stay - 4 Nights

We are three retired ladies who had a fantastic time staying in this convenient, clean, private and beautifully appointed Charleston single house. Three bedrooms, each with an ensuite bathroom and ample common space. Even better than the pictures! We did not have a car and we walked everywhere. Suggest the Bulldog Downtown Food Tour for a special taste of lowcountry cooking. Also, Publix delivery via Instacart for food items you want to stock. Amy and Dan are very gracious hosts. You can't go wrong with this lodging.

Great little house to explore Charleston

Our group had 2 kids and 4 adults (plus one little dog). The house is quaint and well equipped. Everyone had their own bathroom and the bedrooms were comfortable. The gathering area is small but nicely laid out so that everyone could hang out and watch tv, play games, etc. There’s a great cafe very close by. We walked to King Street regularly, which was always busy and fun. The parking is tight if you have large vehicles, but it was very nice to be able to park off the street. We would return!
