Fantastic location with all the hotspots within walking distance. Loved the poolside patio...both for morning coffee and evening relaxing. Parking garage attached to the hotel as an alternative to the $60 valet was perfect since we didn't need our car (no in/out access). $10/food credit per day was usable at both the bar and cafe was nice, too.

It is a beautiful, well maintained hotel. The room was lovely, a comfy bed, nice walk in shower. We had a Keurig coffee maker with tea and coffee choices. A couch,small table, and chair to sit and relax on. Enjoyed our stay a lot. Also when pulling up the bell hop was right there getting our luggage out and brought it up to our room for us.

This was one of the best - if not the best Hotel we ever stayed in.. The location is the best in the Historic District, with adjacent Parking with access right into the Hotel. Room was beautiful, staff amazing, Restaurant was excellent, and the best location.. We thought the room rate was reasonable due to all the above factors. we will go back.

Beautiful hotel in a great walkable location. Convenient to Historic Charleston and harbor front. Shopping, site seeing and great restaurants all so close!! Staff was AMAZING! So helpful and friendly in all areas of the hotel from front door to front desk and restaurant- we picked the perfect place to stay for our three generation girls trip!!

Mills House is excellent

Mills house is a great place to stay while in Charleston. It is elegantly decorated and our room is very clean and beds are comfortable. The hotel has lobby with various corners to lounge in while you chat up with friends or wait for rides. The location is the best. There are great restaurants that are around the corner, and the water front park is also within walking distance. The Dash bus stop is just a couple blocks away as well. Both Iron Rose restaurant and Black Door Cafe are great - good food, superb services. We will stay at Mills House if visiting Charleston again.

Loved just about everything. My room was comfortable, the coffee shop was fabulous, and I’ve never been one to turn down champagne when offered. But the 2nd floor was musty smelling. Like, seriously musty when I first went to my room. Eventually I saw staff working on carpets, but not before I was concerned about mold and asthma concerns. Luckily, my room had open to outside windows, so I was able to get some fresh air.

The good things- - We enjoyed sitting by the fireplace outside. - Our bartender, Juan, was outstanding. - The lobby was nice - They returned my valuable clutch that I had left by the fireplace which I was very thankful for. The not so good - - We were not told about the complimentary champagne service and s’mores making that they have on certain days. This should have been divulged at check in. - Our room was near the elevator making it hard to sleep. Would make sure to request a room far away from it. - I also didn’t like the Hilton ambassador trying to sell future stays at other hotels while we were trying to relax in the lobby. There was pressure to do it right then which we declined This was annoying. It felt like I was on one of those trips where you have to be a part of a presentation. Would I stay here again, Yes, but it’s not my first choice.
