Arrived & checked in no issues. Had to park in the rear of the building as most spaces were full. Went to room & the disappointment commenced. Booked two weeks in advance & paid in advance for a king suite. Was given a two queen bed suite. I spoke with the front desk about it & had to send them my booking receipt as proof because apparently they couldn’t just look it up and see it for themselves. They acknowledge the mixup which was to be expected and then offered to change my room, but at that point we’re already settled in. We just decided to live with it. There was some back-and-forth via text message and at one time I was spoken to as Ms, even though I spoke in person with the front desk (clearly Mr). Although annoying and mildly amusing this was unnecessary. They told me it was a typo. My response to that is proofread your messages before you send them.
The rooms themselves are average at best. The beds are hard as a rock. The bathrooms need to be remodeled. The overall vibe of it is it was nice at one point in time, but they haven’t invested in keeping the property current. It is very conveniently located to the South Park mall, which is nice.
The parking is not that great as it’s along side of the building mainly or in the back in the parking garage, which is inconvenient, but It’s in a good area. I’ve never felt concerned about safety.
I won’t stay at this hotel again. The experience was underwhelming to me and there are better options close by.
