The rooms were very nice but it's the front desk clerk, Angelica who was extremely rude and nasty. I was simply asking about the incidental fee and why it was taken out of my account and I hadn't even left the hotel yet. I have stayed at many hotels and it was always "pending/processing but never deducted first. She said very nasty that it will be reapplied in 5-7 business days. She kept talking over me when I was asking a question and she just kept dismissing me. In all my travels I've never met such a rude person like this. I also called the corporate office to let them know about this incident. Maybe she had a bad morning but Like I said to her, she should never talk to customers like that.If she is here when I visit Charlotte next time (and I'm here often to visit grandchildren) I will have to pass and check into another hotel. She is very unprofessional. Love your hotel but if she continues to talk to customers that way you will lose them. Staff were nice and pleasant. The room was not clean, sheets look as if someone else had slept on them and not changed, smelled like someone had poured fabulous ( the entire bottle) to cover up a stinky musty smell. I didn’t sleep in the bed and slept in an old office chair. I had booked online because it was close to my work assignment and when I checked in was charged another $100 deposit that I knew nothing about. All this should have been made clear through the booking process. Made for a bad stay with little rest because I felt so uncomfortable

The room wasn’t clean. The pictures were broken in the room and they tried to charge me for it and I told them that it was broken initially and they said they would not charge me but they did charge me then I had to wait just receive my money back from that wasn’t a good experience will not book again

Am speechless-People don’t always recall what you say but they remember how staff makes them feel.☹️ Hyppolene & Urvi were kind & sweet; please give them a raise & do all you can to keep them! The breakfast attendant was great & we tipped her. Sadly, upon arrival, I had the worst hotel check in experience of my life with Angelica. She exhibited hostility,acting as if she was inconvenienced! We stay in hotels frequently & I’ve never been treated this badly. Her rudeness created tension, caused me to feel very uncomfortable, instantly regretting my decision to stay at the Concord Sleep Inn. Angelica’s negative energy was so pervasive, I actually asked if she was “always this friendly” just to let her know how inappropriate & impolite she was. She started arguing telling me I was instigative & talked over me, never once apologizing. She didn’t want to answer additional questions, insulting me saying that “the older generation didn’t show respect”. Apparently, she was oblivious to the disrespectful manner in which she initially treated me. Not everyone should be working with the public. Perhaps Angelica never had the proper training in how to greet hotel guests? Maybe she had an off night but that’s still not okay . I’ve given workshops on how to properly treat customers! My company would never have hired her. Maybe paying higher wages would attract more caring employees? This is the first time I’ve ever given a review like this. 😔 P. S. The lobby smelled strongly of weed.
