Perfect mix of retro and comfort

Really well located. Close to everything. What surprised and delighted us was the mixture of retro decor and comfort. We loved the vinyl albums and turntable. Music was spot on. Room was very clean and comfortable. We will stay again!!

It's very clean and the aesthetic is nice. It's in an excellent location, and the room was very affordable. The only real issue was the lack of basic hotel amenities. The rooms have a fridge, bed, full bathroom, and a TV, and that's about it. I don't need a microwave, but not having any sort of closet with clothes hangers or an iron was a huge pain when traveling for a wedding. The office told us they have a single iron and ironing board for the whole hotel, so while we requested one, we never got it (others were using it). They allegedly have hangers, but only on request, and we were told they had none available at the moment. I had to go buy some at a nearby store. If I weren't traveling for a formal event, this might not have been noticeable. Just keep in mind that if you need to bring something like a suit, you may need to find your own way to iron and hang it.

Cannot beat the location for convenience to UVA campus. Newly renovated and clean. As there are bars and restaurants nearby, those sensitive to noise might wish to bring earplugs.

Terrible. Do not stay here if you need any amenities or staff to be there whatsoever. It’s right on top of fraternity houses. The food truck looked awful and was barely open. No staff in office the whole time. No parking anywhere.

What a cute little place. Unit was clean and comfortable. Fine for a quick overnight stay near hospital. In fact, there is a shuttle service that picks up right behind the building to UVA medical center.

We loved the retro look of the room and the hotel. As other reviewers noted, the hotel is close to sorority and fraternity houses, so there's a lot of party-related noise and activity. Also, the only free parking is on the street, so it can be hard to find a spot. We definitely will stay again because we loved the hotel and its proximity to UVA Grounds and restaurants.

Moldy and loud

The studio was super loud with trains going through and very moldy smelling. They have ear buds they give you but the train shook the whole room and the TV for several minutes in the afternoon annd also at 3 am.

Brief but excellent experience. Room had everything we needed, nothing we didn't need. Bathroom was updated and clean. Staff even called ahead of our arrival to alert us that we may need to use an app to check in if we arrived late. Staff was always reachable and very friendly. Location was great, right in the middle of so many restaurants and across the street from UVA. Great place for a no frills but comfortable stay.

Great location!

Cute decor. Nice staff. Unique fun stay. Very close to the grounds. My 16 year old son didn’t like the door to the bathroom; he didn’t feel like he had enough privacy. You can hear the train go by but that didn’t bother us. We parked at the garage about a block away that cost $7 over night.
