They did not make beds. They did not give enough wash clothes. I have VIP status with Expedia and they did not acknowledge it. When I checked in the gentleman was not helpful and did not really want to interact. The hotel is nice and over all I did enjoy my stay.

For such a warm Place it’d be nice if the pool was open past 10. They make it so comfortable to just lounge while you watch your kids have fun that it would be nice to stay longer.

We loved our stay at the historic Chalet at the Choo Choo. The room & property was very clean & safe. Walkable to the Choo Choo station for dinner, drinks & entertainment. The bed was comfortable, the gym was adequate & the pool was inviting. Front desk staff was very kind & helpful. We enjoy a quaint, historical place to stay. The only minor ding, they do not provide hand soap at the bathroom sink anymore. We had to use the shower gel for both sink & shower. We will be back this fall & will try to stay in the Deluxe train car room, if available. HINT: We parked overnight in the parking garage on the corner for $11.00, hotel charges $18.00 for onsite parking lot.

recently stayed at Hotel Chalet and spent over $1,500 during my visit, with plans to return frequently. Unfortunately, I left feeling undervalued as a guest. I was denied parking for a second vehicle due to “capacity limits,” yet later observed multiple empty spaces. Additionally, my partner and I (two women traveling together) felt our relationship status drew unnecessary scrutiny, which was uncomfortable and unprofessional. While the property has potential, these issues—particularly inconsistent policies and a lack of inclusivity—need to be addressed. I hope management takes steps to ensure future guests feel respected and welcomed.

What an amazing hotel!! Old train car chattanooga Choo choo is now a beautifully appointed room complete with sitting area! Bathroom and shower spectacular!! We enjoyed sleeping on a train car. We brought our five-year-old grandson and he really liked it. Our only issues were that the pool was filthy and closed early for cleaning so he did not get much pool time and the air conditioner in our bathroom did not work. Our bathroom stayed exceptionally hot the entire time we were there. We only spent one night so we did not complain because we did not want to have to move rooms or have to deal with maintenance coming in when we were only there for one night. Other than that everything was fantastic and we really loved the accommodations.

The hotel was lovely, both in expected and unexpected ways. The coffee bar in the morning was superb, although I do wish they provided tea bags or coffee in the rooms. I didn't enjoy paying $3 per tea bag. That aside, the rooms were clean, the bed was unbelievably comfortable, the tv was huge, and the bath robes were a great touch. Additionally, the water pressure was great, and the bathrooms were designed with a beautiful towel and plenty of shampoo, conditioner, and body wash. The room design itself was both charming and relaxing. I've heard people complain about dim rooms, but to be honest, this hotel isn't meant to be a Holiday Inn, and it's meant to be a bit more austere than that. The dimmed lights provided a much more smoky and old timey atmosphere that successfully mimicked a true French hotel. It's just down the street from some great food and drinks. The only staffing complaint is from one person who was short with me for interrupting his video when I came down to get tea. I called on the phone ahead of time and was asked to come down, and he had a serious attitude when I told him so. He was really short with me for something that was pretty trivial (especially considering they already cost $3 each), but I can't let that detract from the overall experience considering the fact that it was a brief inconvenience and I do consider myself to be thick skinned. Overall, I really look forward to coming back here in the future, preferably for a longer stay. 5 stars

Very nice for a one night stay. Their service were exceptional! We didn’t check in and they were already messaging and checking on us how to assist. They offered us dog bed and bowls in advance of our arrival. Very nice experience.

I have to admit, I chose it because of the name… but it turned out perfectly. My only minor inconvenience was no microwave in the room, but they heated my food up for me at the front desk with no qualms. Fantastic stay.

I had such high expectations for this unique stay but it just wasn’t. It was a great concept of turning train carts into a hotel room but they should make sure it stays cool with AC working! Checked in with 89 degrees inside with AC not working, maintenance came out and got the air flowing but 30 mins later, showing 90 degrees….. Asked for a refund and got out of there. It seems that these carts run hot in summer days and cant keep it cool enough? I asked people who were in the other cart room and their ac works but wasn’t going below 81 degrees. The main building had issues too, they lost power for few seconds and got it back but it took out their computer and phone system where they were not able to get me the refund there and had to contact Expedia. People were not able to check in either, had a long line. Also keep in mind you can hear everything from outside people talking and cars and stuff. Im sure people outside can hear you talking inside the cart if you talk loud enough.
