The private garden area overlooks the river and weir where you can sit and listen to bird song or enjoy and evening tipple.

There are many walks right outside the door, with a stroll along the tow path with its many barges and watch the lock being opened and tea room with the most amazing cakes and snacks. For those seeking adventure, Island House, serves as an ideal base for exploring the myriad of attractions that Chelmsford and its surrounding areas have to offer.
