The hotel had construction going on so the halls and side entrances were dirty. There was a man mopping the floors but clearly not sweeping areas first. No wet floor signs present. Our room was newly redone and looked nice but the windows were so dirty you couldn't see out them. We also attended a banquet in the hotel. The meal was good and the staff was accommodating. The breakfast was ok but only warm.

We got to the hotel at 4:30 and there was a very long line moving very slowly for check-in. We needed to be at the home run Derby at five so we decided to check in later and headed out for the home run Derby. We got back from dinner and the derby at around nine 9:45 PM. The people at the front desk said our room wasn’t ready yet. It was still being cleaned. Mind you check in started at 3 pm. We finally got up to our room about 10:30 PM. The room was nice and had been updated. We have stayed at this hotel several times and the room was much nicer than in previous visits. Check-in has always been very slow, however, but this was the worst. Staff was friendly and were obviously trying hard, but they seem to be severely understaffed at the hotel. The rates at the Red Lion are the best in the area, however, so I might give it one more chance.

Checkin was very slow. Had an issue with getting a room key to work. Wi-fi never worked. Restaurant was closed at 6pm for whatever reason. Positives; room was clean and bed was comfortable.

Room not ready

After a 7 hour drive from Omaha. We arrived at 4:45 pm and our room was not ready. I was told to leave my phone number and they would call when it was ready. We went to dinner, then filled our car with gas and still no call. We sat in the lobby until 7:15 pm when they called us up to finally register. Got to our room at 7:30 pm. The room and stay were fine after that.
