Late night decision after flight was cancelled

We had a cancelled flight and decided to get a hotel room. I chose this property because of the good reviews and free airport shuttle. The shuttle never came to the airport, like other hotel shuttles did. We ended up paying for a taxi ride. The room was clean and comfortable, and breakfast was great. Staff was very helpful also.

Great breakfast with options! Room was very clean. Nice bathroom with counter space. Staff was friendly and helpful. Comfortable beds and pillows too! Flooring throughout was clean and in good condition. Would definitely recommend !

While the property was very clean and the staff was friendly, there were a few of items that needed addressing. On the plus side, we loved that the bathroom products were Dove. We also appreciate the free parking, which is not a given in the Chicago area On the negative side, the security lock on the room door had been broken off, which made us feel very uncomfortable. Also the shower did not function correctly and needs the attention of a plumber. Some personal preference items that feel like they just didn't meet expectations for this chain were the toilet seat was very cheap and the mattresses were rather hard with no pillow top on top of steel frames that made noise as we moved.
