Our Church Archdiocese held its biennial convention at the Hyatt Regency O'Hare Hotel. Nobody could ask for anything more or better. The logistics for hosting over 2,000 registered guests must have been astronomical, but everything was there and in place when needed and expected. If/when I return to the Chicago area, I would definitely stay at the Hyatt Regency O'Hare. The Blue Line train to all of Chicago is a 7-minute walk from the Hyatt's lobby. Not to mention the every-15-minute Hyatt shuttle to O'Hare Airport.

This hotel is a mainstay for me. I have enjoyed it many times. The staff is the key. They are always friendly! A couple tiny things (and I mean TINY)....there were no pens in my room. I realized i had forgotten my pen and there were none to be found! And again, TINY issue....but I made coffeexin my room and nothing to stir in the creamer or sugar!

OK, when your flight is canceled or rescheduled.

This Hyatt is huge, and benefits from the terrible experience with weather related cancelations at O'Hare. They have great shuttle service to the hotel, ready to capitalize on this business. You'll get to meet other worn out and disgruntled travelers at check in. Contrast this with trying to eat something in the lounge--and you'll get to hear local women "conversing" at volume levels that exceed those in Chicago bars. It must be THE place in Chicago for residents to be seen and heard, as nobody leaving the lounge appear headed back to their rooms or paying their bar tabs.
