As I pulled up to the hotel, no valets came to greet me and I started to unpack in the frigid cold when somebody finally came out and told me that the parking lot was a block away.
So, I repacked, parked and walked back to the same lower lobby where there were no signs to the check-in desk which was actually located one floor above. After going up the escalator and finding the front desk, I couldn't even see the staff as they were all seated behind the tall counter. When I approached, the employee did not even bother to stand and greet me. The whole interaction was cold and unwelcoming. She handed me a key and gave no directions toward elevators or added, "have a pleasant stay"...nothing.
It was about as friendly as a visit to the BMV.
