The property was very nice and clean. Staff was very friendly and helpful. There is no parking garage close to use which meant we had to use vallet parking which was a tad bit more expensive. Other than that, good experience.

Lovely hotel on the river

Lovely stay at the Royal Sonesta downtown. The location was very nice. We enjoyed being close to the river and having access to the shopping and eateries. The bed was comfortable but the pillows weren’t as good. We were on the 29th floor so While you could hear the train and some traffic noise it was muffled. The elevators were fast and the wait for them was short, although they were small so only a few people if everyone had a suitcase with them. The fitness center was nice with two Peloton bikes but one was broken. There’s a water station in the gym as well so we used it to fill our water bottles during the stay, which was nice. The views from the hotel were great. Only caveat is that the Trump tower is across the way and the lights from the sign were bright- thank goodness for the blackout curtains! The front desk staff was attentive and knowledgeable. We were able to check in early which was really nice. Overall a lovely stay.
