It was nice to stay here again and see that the room had new couches, dining table, tv etc. The only downfall of this place is someone really needs to give the showers a good clean in all the nooks and crannies.

The property is in a good location however for the cost the bathroom was very small as was the bedroom, the bathroom looked dirty, not enough appropriate lighting. There is no central heating/cooling - there is a bar heater in the bedroom and a mobile aircon unit in the lounge room. There was no airflow in the property.

Ideally situated for our needs, loved hearing and watching the trams from our balcony area. As this was the final stay of our NZ trip it was great having all amenities in the apartment in order to launder our clothes and relax prior to our onward journey.

Great convenient location in central Christchurch, spacious rooms, shower needs a Reno a little tired signs or wear , we found the bed wasn’t very comfy nor the pillows , great having Nespresso machine and washer/ dryer. Wifi was poor but was quickly sorted by providing us with a wifi box and it was great . Tram right below which was handy .

Convenient, but a few niggles

Most aspects of this hotel are pretty good. It's in a great location; it's clean; it has friendly staff; and the bed was comfortable. But there were aspects that were a bit niggly. (i) The aircon is a standalone, portable floor unit that you shift around slightly, but it's ducted to the window. Window is thus locked open, meaning all the noise from outside comes in. Given you're above the tram terminal, the noise of the trams and bells is significant; it was annoying not being able to shut the windows and keep the noise out (ii) living/bedroom area was HUGE but, in contrast, the bathroom was very small and a bit tight. (iii) not a big deal, but it would have been nice to have been able to arrange a late check-out and leave at 11.00am instead of 10.00am. Alas, this couldn't be accommodated.

Good points… Very central, large hotel room. Communication not good. - no response to two messages that I sent prior to arrival that related to check-in. Description of ‘studio’ is not accurate. What you get is a large (well used) HOTEL ROOM, small fridge, kettle, toaster and a microwave which is placed on a high self. There is bed, bedside tables, tv, desk and one chair. Unfortunately, we were put into the annex, which was not communicated to us prior to arrival. You enter via a ‘service entrance’/ corridor / lift from the Cathedral Junction centre, that is not at all welcoming and somewhat ‘beaten up’. Furthermore, if like us, you need to get to the airport early in the morning, the sliding glass doors for entry/exiting the Cathedral Junction centre are locked and the exit method is not immediately obvious! - Having explained to reception staff in the main building that we would be leaving very early, I am concerned that they did not mention the issue. Overall we were very disappointed by this hotel and will stay elsewhere in future.
