Was a nice hotel where I wished I had more time to enjoy. It was off the beaten path. The Owner’s were superb. Fun if you want a quiet place in a vintage setting. Price point was above average. Overall, I liked it and would recommend.

Whilst this was an older property the rooms were comfortable and spacious. We were given a family room on the ground floor which was very spacious. Staff were helpful and pleasant.

I had stayed in the hotel when an officer in the Air Force Cadets and it was Wigram's Officers Mess. A great nostalgic stay. Everything i remember but better

Lovely and quiet after spending all day at Ruapuna Race track. Really comfortable beds. Rooms were clean & tidy. Restaurant had a good selection.

1920s Fabulous Building with new lease of life

Always wanted to try this accomodation. The rooms have been done up beautifully with fabulous bathroom. Yes there are stairs to the second floor with no lift but not a deal breaker. The only issue was the access to the rooms is via a long hallway behind the bar/dinning area and in the morning a trolley full of left over meals was not nice to walk past so possibly they need to think about presentation outside of the rooms. Good parking and nice location with beautiful big trees and nicely kept gardens. Beautiful 1920s building full of lovely woodwork and light fittings.

The location does not have a lift and limited staff to help with luggage if you are assigned a second fooor space. Not for older adults or people with ambulation problems unless they can promise first fooor accommodations.
