No Frills Place to Stay

Picked this place based on the photos, the name, Embassy Suites, and the price point. Our room was clean, the bed was comfortable, and we had adequate space for our toddler to run about. In general, the hotel is dated in appearance. The lobby has a water feature that I imagine was nice, but was not operational. The elevator flooring has holes in it that show the subfloor and the buttons sink into the wall when pushed. Our room was lack luster considering the name “two room suite.” Many of the TV channels were pixelated, or said “scrambled or weak signal.” Two of the 6 lamps in our room didn’t work. Half of those that did work had a different temperature color bulb than the others. Our thermostat was never set to higher than 60F and the room never got colder than 74F. This was in March, outside temp was in the 30s. The sofa cushions have lost their fluffiness- if you sit on it and put your feet on the ottoman your feet are higher than your bottom. Breakfast…. It was hot and on the surface looked nice. The self serve hot options included eggs, waffles, sausage and potatoes. There was a made to order inlet station which appeared to have additional options, but the line was long and moved slowly. There were two dosa fountains. One was out of syrup. The other left small black bits in your drink. The drain grate below the dispensers was heavily corroded. In general, if you’re looking for a bed & shower, this will do. If you want more, this place might not be for you.

Fresh approach

Hotel was a bit different from your average hotel. Like the big atrium and all the plants. A bit disappointed the room didn’t face any trees as shown in the picture. The landscape was the reason we updated to a room with a small balcony. Other than that, we were very pleases. The bed and pillows were extremely comfortable and the shower amenities were eco friendly and smelled nice. The fruit during breakfast was definitely a big plus (they also offered omelets and avocado toast for free, although we did not order any)

Property was in nice area & parking was adequate. Since it was cold & snowy out we bought dinner at Blu which is in hotel lobby and we enjoyed. Checkin was quick & easy. Breakfast looked good but we didn’t eat at hotel. The hotel seemed old & dark in need of renovation. Our room was just ok. One of the vanity lights in bathroom was out. Toilet had to be flushed multiple times to clear & the tub didn’t drain-had to stand in shower water while showering. Even tho hostel is in a nice area not sure would stay there again or recommend.

First time at this property. Apparently there was a huge party the night before and they didn't have rooms clean by check and in. Had people sitting in the lobby, no compassion or care. One of the lady’s there waiting was crying because of the way she was treated and her job was paying for her to stay an entire week. We will not be back. I’m not a fan of bad customer service.

The pool was dark and murky, when I asked the condition of the pool the staff didn't know of the condition and later a "pool closed" sign was there also it was roped off on my entire stay.The elevator floors (all 3) had cracks and pits, these issues could have caused an accident! The staircase carpet lools like it was last cleaned in the 80's! My restroom has one light that was not working properly. On the 13th I arrived back at my room at 5:56, and my room was not cleaned, soon after the cleaning service came riggt away but the service was not up to par necause they seemed to ne late for many guest. I was not sure if this stay was a true Hilton brand? This was the first time I had this kind of experience from a Hilton group.

The property is a bit outdated...our original room was updated and nice but the AC/heat didn't work so we had to switch rooms and the other room was antiquated (peeling ceilings, stained carpets, pictures taken off the wall, etc..like it was about to get updated but they hadn't made it to that room yet) The AC/Heat worked in this room and we had already unpacked twice so we stayed put (it was only 2 nights) The staff, however, were some of the nicest people I've ever met! It was close to where we needed to be (Cincinnati Eye Institute) and was pet friendly (again the staff really made this property amazing, they doted on our cocker spaniel and gave him treats and pets). The only other real issue was a limited amount of dining options (we are on a stricter type diet and there weren't any diet compatible options for us, there was an ice storm the night we were there which didn't allow us to travel to another site to eat) Not a super big deal, but need to mention if you don't have a vehicle or limited transaction. Breakfast was good, as always with plenty of healthy options.
