It was a beautiful place! My room was perfect and the views were amazing. However, I was unaware how loud the area could be. There’s a field behind the hotel where a concert of some sort took place one of the nights I was there. Other than all the noise, the place was fantastic

El personal es muy amable y nos dieron atención personalizada. Nos recibieron con un cóctel de bienvenida. Nuestra habitación estaba impecable, la cama muy cómoda al igual que las almohadas, el agua de la ducha salió caliente y a buena presión. I wish I could give this place more than 5 stars. Absolutely amazing 100/10. The food, the ambiance, the esthetic and the SERVICE?? Impeccable. Special shoout to Dayana Mazate. She was the sweetest and most helpful person. I didn't want to leave this hotel! Definitely a hidden gem.

Very nice hotel

I enjoyed my stay here. The hotel grounds are very beautiful and the view of the volcano is astounding. I could stay forever in that courtyard; it's so romantic and pretty. I loved my room as well, very comfy bed and the shower was nice. Lots of space to put my stuff. The hotel staff were all nice and accommodating. I enjoyed breakfast on my first day; I didn't eat there for the rest of my trip as my day tours departed very early. My one piece of advice for this hotel is that if you are arriving very early or super late, you need to communicate with the hotel staff beforehand. I thought I had done that, but I arrived around 12am after coming in from a flight to Guatemala City and the gates to the hotel were locked. Thankfully my taxi driver stayed with me, calling the hotel multiple times, and knocking at the door. After about 30 minutes, someone finally answered and I got in. That was a little scary since it was my first time in Guatemala, but I was grateful for the help I received.

The only thing which I have to remark negatively was the fact that my room was right next to the main road and rather noisy. The hotel did provide earplugs, however. But that is the only thing I would've rather had an option to change, yet the hotel was fully booked and I had no chance to move to a quieter room.

Nice views

Mestizo Cortejo es un hotel muy lindo por fuera, tiene un jardín y una vista espectacular. El servicio de desayuno es muy escaso, solo cuenta con 3 o 4 platos a elección. Tiene el mobiliario y utensilios pero uno no puede hacer ni un té o café antes o después del horario de desayuno que es de 8:00 a 11:00, si el cocinero llega a tiempo. Las habitaciones son muy precarias, cuenta con 1 mesa de luz y 1 velador para 2 camas dobles, sin muebles para apoyar, guardar o colgar ropa. El refrigerador lo agregaron la última noche de estadía. No hay cafetera en todo el hotel ni agua caliente En el baño no hay donde colgar toallas, poca presión de agua y el agua caliente llega después de 10 minutos por lo que tuvimos que usar el baño común del pasillo, me sentía en un hostel. Los empleados son muy amables pero necesitan más entrenamiento para saber cosas básicas del servicio hotelero. Los managers de este hotel tendrían que visitar algunos hoteles para darse cuenta todo lo que les falta para poder brindar un servicio acorde a un hotel 3 estrellas.

Lovely hotel and great service, really great food, wonderful breakfast included with a great view of the Agua Volcano. Comfortable beds. The location didn’t work for us though. It wasn’t terrible to have to get an uber into the central district each day - though it was inconvenient. Although they do have a sister location in the center you could stash your bags there if you need to while you walk around. What we really disliked about the location was the major road literally right outside our window. Both the noise and the smell were constant. They DO have rooms that don’t face the road — so if you are ok with being in the Ciudad Viejo neighborhood, ask for one of those rooms. They’re very responsive on WhatsApp. I wish I had asked. I recommend this place with that one caveat.
