The staff were friendly, the food was excellent and the hotel is well maintained apart from the windows, they looked a bit knackered, although given the grade listing of the hotel, there’s very little that can be done

The hotel is a comfortable one, with friendly and helpful staff. My room had all the usual amenities. I have stayed before, when a major plus was a very good breakfast using local produce. It was therefore disappointing to discover that the hotel no longer does breakfast at all.

The staff were very helpfull. The person on reception carried my case up for me. The bed was comfortable and the room was clean. The only problem I had was that I have leg problems and there is no lift. Because the hotel is 300 years old there is no way a loft could be installed. I'm glad I stayed there.

Lovely room

We had another fantastic stay at the Allerdale Court Hotel. The room was comfortable, clean and spacious. Breakfast is now not included at the hotel which was disappointing as we have had a lovely breakfast there last time
