Wanderer's Haven is a beautifully presented, dog-friendly holiday caravan sleeping up to four guests, located on the peaceful, family-run Brigham Holiday Park near Cockermouth on the edge of the Western Lake District. Whether you're planning a walking holiday, a relaxing countryside escape or a base from which to explore Cumbria, Wanderer's Haven offers everything you need for a comfortable self-catering stay throughout the year.
Brigham Holiday Park is a well-maintained gated park with just 72 privately owned caravans and an on-site warden, creating a quiet and welcoming environment for couples and families alike. With easy access to the A66, you'll be perfectly placed to discover the stunning lakes, mountains, forests and charming market towns that make the Lake District National Park a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
The spacious master bedroom features a king-size bed, generous built-in wardrobes, a dressing table and plenty of storage. It also benefits from a private en-suite shower room with shower, toilet and wash basin, providing extra comfort and convenience during your stay. The second bedroom offers two comfortable single beds together with built-in wardrobe space, making the caravan ideal for families or friends travelling together. A separate family shower room with shower, toilet and wash basin is located off the hallway.
The fully equipped kitchen includes a built-in four-ring gas hob, gas oven, microwave, 70/30 fridge freezer, Dolce Gusto coffee machine, kettle, toaster and all the cookware, crockery, cutlery and utensils you'll need for a self-catering holiday. Whether you're preparing breakfast before a day of exploring or enjoying an evening meal back at the caravan, everything is provided for a comfortable stay.
The bright and welcoming lounge is the perfect place to relax after a day discovering the Western Lake District. Comfortable sofas, a 43-inch Toshiba 4K Ultra HD Smart TV with Freely and the ability to sign into your own Netflix, Amazon Prime and Disney+ accounts provide entertainment whatever the weather. A DVD player with a selection of DVDs is also available, while free Wi-Fi and USB charging sockets keep everyone connected throughout your stay.
The dining area comfortably seats four guests, making it the perfect place to enjoy family meals or plan the next day's adventures.
Outside, Wanderer's Haven benefits from secure decking to the front together with gated side decking, creating a lovely outdoor space to enjoy your morning coffee or relax in the fresh Cumbrian air. Outdoor furniture is provided, and there is parking for one vehicle directly beside the caravan. Guests also have use of a small gravelled area alongside the caravan (please note this area is not enclosed).
Wanderer's Haven welcomes dogs, with 1 medium dog or 2 small dogs accepted on request only.
Bed linen and towels are provided for use during your stay. All beds are made up ready for your arrival.
A travel cot and high chair can be provided for a small additional charge. Please let us know before your arrival if you would like either item arranged.
Cockermouth, the birthplace of William Wordsworth, is approximately 3 miles away and offers a wonderful selection of independent shops, cafés, restaurants and supermarkets. Keswick, Derwentwater, Whinlatter Forest, Bassenthwaite Lake, Buttermere and many of the Western Lake District's most popular attractions are all within easy driving distance, making Wanderer's Haven an excellent base for exploring this beautiful part of Cumbria.

For the comfort of all guests, Brigham Holiday Park does not permit contractors or work vans on site. Hen and stag party bookings are not accepted.
