Situated on a gentle hill between Colle and Casole D'Elsa, in a medieval borgo that dates back to the 11th century, you will find Villa Girasole, a private Tuscan semi-detached Villa. For centuries borgo "La Canonica" was the official summer residence of the archbishop of Volterra, where he used to relax and enjoy the beauties of the surrounding landscape.
The finely restored villa has a 500 sqm private garden with a dining gazebo and a relaxing patio with a sun umbrella to enjoy every sunset.
Awaken each morning to fresh country-air, fragrant gardens, and a feeling of peaceful solitude. After a family meal under the outdoor gazebo, discuss sightseeing plans. Then, head out to discover Siena, Florence, San Gimignano and Montalcino.
From the peaks of the exposed-wood ceiling to the stone-tiled floors, Villa Girasole and its entire borgo is a true testament to authentic Tuscan architecture. Use the private entrance to access the pool and spend a few hours or an entire day swimming, sunbathing or relaxing on your sun lounger. The borgo is surrounded by a large well-kept lawn overlooking the magnificent Castello di Casole. When you walk the entrance of the Villa you will find a large double-sized living area connected by a stone archway to the light-drenched sitting room furnished with a queen-sized sofa bed, a couch, and a brick fireplace. There is a bathroom with shower and a fully equipped kitchen that opens on an outside dining area with a gazebo. On the upper level, you will find two bedrooms and a bathroom with jacuzzi tub.
The old threshing floor accessible from the living room or garden has an authentic paved floor and it is a great place to relax, wind down from a sightseeing day, or to enjoy the sunset with a book or a glass of wine. Equipped with a patio umbrella and surrounded by a beautiful garden you will enjoy every second of it.
