We had a very pleasant stay for 3 nights and certainly will be promoting Urban Loft Cologne to our family & friends. It is very convenient to city centre & train station. The facility of access to free water & the security of the place also ranked very high with us, especially the room key working in the lift. (this was a new experience to us). Breakfast was of a high standard too. We loved the decor of the place, making it very relaxing. One suggested addition to the room could be a phone with access to reception in case of an emergency. Thank you again for a lovely experience in Urban Loft Cologne.

This has to be one of the best hotels we have stayed in. We upgraded to the bigger room and didn't regret it. The bed is comfy. The rooms have Air Conditioning. They have some great design features in each room ,and the place is excellently located with lots of bars, restaurants and shops right outside. The lounge area is very comfy.

Definitely recommend

Lovely hotel and fantastic staff. The room was great, bed comfy and it was so quite even though next to train station and tracks. Great black out curtains. Smart tv is such a good thing to have. Roof top terrace and outside spaces where fab. Loved the free the coffee 11pm to 11.30am. Only negatives, no coffee facilities in room. Not grear having to come down to reception in morning for your coffee, especially if not haveing breakfast. When we got into room, the bathroom had like a stagnant water smell. But after flushing toulet and running taps a bit it seemed to smell less and less

No room cleaning two nights in a row.

Decent stay overall. Despite being close to the train tracks, passing trains were barely audible. Staff were friendly and helpful, but the room was never cleaned for the duration of our three night stay -- even though the card asking for cleaning was always . The issue persisted and was not addressed, even informing staff. This negatively impacted the enjoyment and comfort of our stay here.

There’s a digital self check-in desk, but at the end the screen asked me to contact lobby staff to complete check-in process. At that time the staff wasn’t too busy and the check-in was finished quickly. The card reading sensor in the lift required some ‘technique’ to read the room key card - I have witnessed many guests trying to get the lift going unsuccessfully. Room was located at the backside of the hotel and faced the very busy railway line. Unless you’re a train spotter or enthusiast you might feel disturbed - despite the double windows some noise enters your room and better wear ear plugs if you intend to open the window. Otherwise the room was small with practical layout, but surely very clean. No complains here! The road in the front has a few supermarkets and ‘Döner’ stalls and drinking holes in stock. Convenient- but the area is not inviting and has some weird characters and day-drunks in store. At checkout we witnessed complete chaos: there’re only two staff members to deal with an immense number of guests wishing to checkout. The checkout queue interferes with the guests wishing to have breakfast. While the lobby lounge looks inviting for an evening drink or meeting, in the morning this space erupts in chaos. All in all: staff is friendly but the hotel lacks staff to handle the amount of guests. Rooms are small but clean. Ask for a room away from railway line unless you’re a train enthusiast. Area appears a bit ‘dodgy’.

Be careful of giving personal info prior to arriva

Reception guy was not really helpful and we had to enter in all our data on kiosks. They sent an email to register before you arrive but the website insists you agree to allowing the hotel to use your personal information for advertising purposes. The hotel kiosk did not have that option

Great Hotel!

Urban Loft was a brilliant spot - close to everything central with very friendly and helpful staff. We rented bikes from nearby Radstation and we were able to lock them safely in the courtyard. The rooftop deck is a wonderful place to bring takeout food and beverages in the afternoon. Our room was quiet, clean, and comfortable. So many affordable restaurant options nearby.
