Our large home is nestled right between St. Joe, South Haven and Lake Michigan and near everything Southwest Michigan has to offer. Located on a large forested lot on a stream, you'll see beavers hard at work while spotting eagles, owls, deer and colorful birds. Enjoy wine tastings at local wineries or brew hop through some of the countries best breweries. At night enjoy the large fire pit under the star filled sky. Adults and children alike will find something they love about our home.

You will have the entire space to yourselves.

We wont be available in person, however, in case of emergencies we are available.

You will need a car in this area. There is a large driveway that easily fits multiple cars.

We are on a quiet dark wooded lot. We do have exterior lights however, please note this is quiet secluded location.
Welcome to our cozy home, “Lake Forest Retreat”! We hope you have an amazing time here. Please take a look at our house rules to ensure everyone’s safety and well-being. We really appreciate your cooperation!

By following these rules, you’re agreeing to the terms of our rental agreement. If you don’t, we may have to ask you to leave. Violating the rules could also mean losing some of your security deposit or other penalties.

One important rule is that smoking is not allowed anywhere on the property. No smoking indoors or outdoors. If you smoke, you’ll have to pay a $500 air cleaning fee, plus an extra $500 for extra cleaning inside the house.

Check-in is at 4 PM, and check-out is at 11 AM. We’re happy to let you check in early or stay late if possible, just let us know. There’s a $150 late check-out fee if you don’t ask first.

You will get a check-in code in the booking app 24 hours before check-in. The code is active at 4pm on check-in day until 11am on the day of check-out.

If you’re planning to have a party or event, please let us know. We host weddings, bachelorette parties, and family events often. Just remember to respect the property and our neighbors.

Parking is in the driveway that can fit up to 6 cars. Please don’t park on the grass.

Quiet Hours are between 10 PM and 7 AM. No fireworks are allowed on the property which is a city rule that could get you fined.

Child Safety

Our home is great for kids, but please remember we have stairs. There’s a safety gate in the closet for little ones.

Parents, please don’t leave kids unattended. You’re fully responsible for their safety at all times.

Pets: No Pets allowed at ANY TIME

Safety and Energy Saving

Please close the windows and lock the door when you leave.

Damages and Breakages

If you find any damage, breakage, or malfunctioning equipment, let us know right away so we can fix it.

Please don’t move furniture around too much to avoid any damage.

If you cause any damage or breakage through negligence, the cost may be taken out of your security deposit.

Cleaning and Maintenance

No eating or drinking in the bedrooms.

Please load and turn on the dishwasher before you check out.

Put garbage and recycling in the right bins outside. Garbage collection is on Tuesday mornings.
