I've had an excellent experience during my stay at the Sheraton Colombo Hotel. The room, facilities, dining, and service have been impeccable. The staff are consummate professionals, especially housekeeping, most notably, Udayangani, who has provided the best possible quality service one could expect. We spent 7 nights at Sheraton Colombo and had a great and wonderful time. This 5 stars is a new building with modern facilities . We booked half board and the food were delicious with great choices. Hotel staff were professional and courteous all the time and bend over backwards to ensure all our needs were met. Special mentioned to Yohan @ Colombo Kitchen. One Galle Face Mall is a short tuk-tuk drive or a pleasant walk in the evening. There is a supermarket & bank next to hotel. Gym is well equipped with 24 hrs access , the sauna and steam room were of health benefits and we enjoyed it daily.

The hotel posting on Expedia was misleading re: airport pick-up and drop off. These are extra charges at exorbitant mark up, and if you ask for a taxi at the hotel, their prices are at the extreme end. I needed a taxi, 10 mins ride, the hotel said the price was Sri Lankan rupees SLR 5000, whereas “pick me” charge was less than SLR 300. Overall, the hotel is good and staff are friendly, but I do not appreciate misleading posting, hence I would only give 3 stars.

Great Hotel to Stay!

It was a great location with a lovely sea view from the rooms. My family and I had visited Colombo only for a day. The hotel was very comfortable and the highlight of the place was the manager of the front desk who welcomed us in the most warm manner and made us feel at place immediately as we entered! Great Rooms, very clean, highly recommended!
