Call before booking.. pool is already broke and it was the only reason we reserved it (bad back).. then at the time of booking it shows a bathtub.. we get to the room no bathtub either.. they said the room I booked didn't have one but I still have screenshots of it showing in the room .. they would not refund me what I paid and cancel my room... They would only give free food.. I demanded something if I was forced to stay there.. I explained they should update their web page and tell people before they agree to pay for amenities they will not be getting.. if I didn't need something relaxing for my back and the only reason I went, I wouldn't have a complaint other than that the place is awesome.

The hotel was clean and nice. Very disappointed that the pool was not working. You could do a better job of letting people know of events going on (for instance there was a comedy show while we were there and I had no idea).

First time I stayed here in May, service was not great. My hotel room was by the roof. Extremely loud. This time w/my husband, the staff were very attentive. Room was much better. From the front desk staff to the bars/breakfast cafe/Player's Service area, everyone was exceptional. We will not go to Blackhawk anymore, this is our go to place. And, 980 Prime was amazing!

The hotel was nice but the pool was closed with no warning upon booking and then the casino didnt have dice for the craps table! Had I known this I would have stayed at the Golden Nugget. After checking in I felt invisible as all the staff ignored us. Definitely will not be going back.

At first, I was confused why I wasn't in the Chamonix building, and was up the street. Again, saw the "High School" building and was disappointed a little. However, when I was inside, it was a beautiful, old, well restored building with so much history and charm!! I loved it, and even if it may be haunted.... I'll take it! Very beautiful! Toured the old gymnasium, with original flooring and peaked in some of the other rooms. My room was quite comfortable with plenty of fans, as I'm sure there was no AC, a TV, lots of pillows and an in-room coffee maker. (no resort fee either). I would highly recommend this building and it is a short, not even 5 minute walk to the casino. (hint: walk that street, cut through the garage of Chamonix and go to the main street. Reverse when going back, so the hills aren't so bad)
Bedroom is really nice. Everything you need. May be hot in summer, but there were plenty of fans.
Entry and front desk. So awesome with a lot of original furnishings.
Outside of the hotel, a converted High School. Lot's of history!! (no pun intended)

Dr. Pepper on the soda station was out for 3 days. Pool was busted and not available to use. They have doors in the halways to the rooms that are always closed and cant prop open. Phone in room didnt work to call room service or front desk.

We had 1 glass glass in room. No other plastic cups available. No bottled water(Mining town water quality unknown) Capachino maker in room but no coffee maker. Queen bed was concave felt like we were rolling to the middle. For the price should have a breakfast buffet. Outdoor pool at elevation 9500 feet - what were they thinking. Never stay or go to Cripple Creek-Waste of time and money

We stayed one night and I just got my bill… they charged me $400 more than they should have. Trying to get ahold of someone to see why… if not fixed I will have them investigated for fraud. It’s is a shame because we live in Colorado and would have stayed here more if they were fair. BEWARE!!!

Ended being booked at a facility other than the Chamonix that presumably has some sort of association with Chamonix. This wasn’t clear until we tried to check in at Chamonix. Very bad experience!!!
