Inside the lobby area is very nice and somewhat charming. Staff was friendly and helpful. We got there way before check-in time, but they did get us a room when it was ready. The room however, and the halls, there was a smell, idk if it's mildew or just the fact that the hotel is old and rundown. The elevator was not working, apparently due to one of the top floors flooding. The ice machine also didn't work, but ice was available at the front desk. The AC was like a window unit, and was constantly turning on and off, but not maintaining the temp, so we had to adjust it to run constantly. The room itself was clean. The bathroom is pretty small, and while showering the water starts gathering and filling the tub which is a huge ick for me. This was my 2nd time staying here. The location itself was excellent, as far as restaurants and stores, so Academy Blvd was good, but this is probably my last time staying at this hotel.

Nice budget hotel right off the freeway. A little dated, but a good value. Very convenient location near shopping and restaurants. Included breakfast was good, but the bar/grill food was mediocre. There are numerous restaurants nearby including Cracker Barrel across the street.

Our stay at the Academy Hotel was great! Very nice place. The staff were nice and room service came everyday to fix beds, take the trash and restock on whatever was needed. Very quiet and had great amenities. Breakfast was included everyday which was awesome! Very convenient locations with many dining options and shopping in walking distance. I definitely will stay here again and highly recommend them to anyone.

Overall the stay was ok. On the plus side, a great breakfast, Esther was queen of the omlete station. The negative sides; horrible water pressure in the bathroom, the slope of the bathtub ensured that a lot of water left the tub and c was on the floor. Didn't seem to matter how we tried to keep that from happening. Construction or maintenance going on in the room next to ours starting at 8am, two mornings in a row? Called the front desk and the noise stopped almost immediately. If construction needed to happen a heads up or moving our assigned room would have been great.

Even though this is a slightly older hotel, we enjoy staying here. The breakfast buffet alone is worth the stay. The only problem with the room is the bathroom. It’s really small and cramped. The shower head is small and not as nice as most places. They only give you one small bottle of body wash which is one person’s worth. So be sure to ask for more if you have more showering. The bed was very comfortable and the room was nice and clean. We would recommend this place to anyone. The staff are exceptionally helpful and friendly too.

The wonderful breakfast with fresh made to order omelettes! The room was very clean and inviting. This is the third time we’ve stayed here and have always been pleased. The only negative we have is that the tile and paint are looking a bit worn and could use some refresh.
