We get to hotel and one of clerks had the whole area was smelling like cigarettes because she’s smoking right by the door. Then elevator wasn’t working properly. Room had one towel in room for three people. Had to wait on linen because it was not stocked. When we were leaving the police are all in the hotel. Smoker there still making place stink. My kids are allergic cigarette smoke. Never will we return.

This Holiday Inn Express greatly exceeded my expectations. It is conveniently located near shopping & restaurants. The hotel was recently renovated. The coffee machines in the lobby make freshly ground, delicious coffee. The standard room I was staying in had an awesome energy. The lighting & the sound-proofed walls made for a tranquil night. The king-size pillows & mattress were out of this world comfy!!!! Normally, when I wake up, I don't like laying around, but I didn't want to get out of this bed! The only thing that was missing was a bathtub. The overall atmosphere was perfect for a nice, hot soak.

very hard to get out of in 6 lanes of traffic. the pool was very cloudy and no cinna rolls. everything else was amazing , clean , and outsatnding. will be back!!! 20mins from the osu stadium

Room was spacious, coffee maker great. Beds comfy . Sufficient toiletries . Convenient location. Continental Breakfast was more than I expected and variety. Only complaint was pool and hot tub were cloudy 2 days I was there and towels were lacking in the pool area needing restocked. Staff friendly.

Check In and Room: Check-in was fine and at first glance, the room appeared to be clean. There were weird 'stains' on the desk chair. There were kids and adults running and screaming down the halls until at least 12:30a. Pool/Hot tub Area: The hot tub had so much foam (I've never seen this much) and chemical smell that my eyes were running from the burn. In the foam, there was black 'particles' forming black lines. It looked DIRTY. There were very obviously multiple parties in the pool area with alcohol everywhere, including cups with beer sitting on the hot tub ledges. Food and pizza boxes piled up everywhere. Pool area was at twice the max occupancy. Kids were running and screaming at the top of their lungs in the pool area that echos, just not being watched by the parents at all. Teenagers flipping and jumping into the 4ft area, almost cracking their heads open. Almost every pool rule was broken and there was no one monitoring it whatsoever. Outside: While walking out to the car to get something left in the car that night, there was a strong marijuana smell. In the morning, there was a giant pile of vomit in the parking lot. Breakfast/Morning: The breakfast had limited choices. Breads and bagels were rock hard. Biscuits were so dry. After going back to our room after breakfast, we were locked out and had to go all the way back down to get a new card and then all the way back up. Somehow this wasn't the worst hotel experience, but I will never return to this hotel.

Horrible Experience

My stay here was horrible. We came in town for business. Our family travels a lot for our line of work. I never ever have experienced what I did. We were on the 3rd floor. I was out working in downtown Columbus and I got a call at 7pm from my mother in law saying that security was threatening to kick them out because my 2 small kids were being too loud but they were just being normal children. The hotel rules state 10pm or later no noise. The front desk lady came upstairs and told my mother in law to “whoop your children if they don’t listen.” That’s highly unprofessional and abusive. My 15 month old woke up in the middle of the night crying because she was teething. I tried calming her by walking around, rocking and comforting her. But apparently it was still an issue for the hotel. It was literally for 15 minutes until she went back to sleep. Not long at all. Needless to say we ended our stay early.

We walked into the lobby sometime was sleeping at the high top table for a few hours. The shower was either very cold or very hot. Cracked tiles in shower and floor. We stayed here only because they have a large hot tub and pool. But were closed for use without any warning. Actually drove quite a bit out of our way specifically for the pool. Wouldn’t refund our money. Not happy at all.
