This charming rural house nestled in the beautiful Sierra Almijara mountains is located in the Cómpeta area, in the province of Málaga, Andalusia.

The rural house is rustic in style, with wood of various shapes and warm colors predominating throughout, giving it a discreet and friendly atmosphere. The exterior is dominated by stone, which blends harmoniously with flowers and vines. The rural house blends the traditional construction of the area with modern amenities, so you can feel happy and enjoy these days in total comfort.

The interior is bright and pleasant. The cozy living room is equipped with two sofas, a TV, a fireplace, and a dining table. A rustic wooden bar separates the fully equipped kitchen from the living room. Of the three bedrooms, the master has a double bed and an en suite bathroom, and the other two have two single beds each. There are two separate bathrooms with showers. Equipped with a fireplace, washing machine, satellite TV, etc.

All bedrooms and the living room have hot/cold air conditioning for a fee of €30/night.

Outdoors, there is a completely private pool with a terrace and barbecue. A perfect place to relax and enjoy the fantastic views of the mountains and the coast. The property is not fenced.

It is located 4 km from the town of Cómpeta. The entire road is paved; only the last 100 m or so are quite steep, but it can be done without problems with a normal car.

It's inevitable that you'll lean out onto your terrace to enjoy the horizon of the Mediterranean Sea and let your gaze linger on the splendid vegetation of olive trees, almond trees, and vines. At this moment, I recommend you take a deep breath and let that scent of the countryside penetrate your senses, and you'll feel your inner voice whisper: "This is life!"

Fantastic rural house located just 4 km from Cómpeta, Axarquía, Málaga, Costa del Sol, Spain. From the house you can enjoy wonderful views of the sea and mountains, making the sunsets spectacular. Quality rural accommodation.

Cómpeta offers several small supermarkets, a bakery, a fruit and vegetable store, restaurants, bars, pharmacies, a medical center, a dentist, an internet café, souvenir shops, tourist information, and much more.

Great 10 day stay

We enjoyed our stay at Finca Hornillo as a family of 2 grand parents, 2 parents and 2 children. The pool and terrace are excellent, with wonderful views. The bedrooms are nice and cool thanks to the air conditioning and we found everything comfortable. We cooked most meals, the kitchen was sufficient, we'd prefer nicer appliances (kettle, oven, etc) but it all worked well enough. The nearby village of Competa is wonderful, do try an ice-cream from the Gelatteria. Plenty of shops, cafes and restaurants, a kids park and easy parking. The road to the villa, as others have mentioned, is an adventure but it is tarmac/concrete the whole way. In some places there is only room for one car to pass but we didn't find it difficult. Would recommend visiting Alhambra Granada, and Nerja (beaches + town) while in the area.

Ruhe und Entspannung pur!

Für uns ( 2 Paare ) war die Finca der absolute Traum. Vom Einchecken bis zum Outchecken war alles super. Die Finca liegt sehr abgelegen und hat einen traumhaften Blick über die Berge zum Meer. Für Lage und Umgebung geben wir 4 Sterne, weil man immer auf ein Auto angewiesen ist. Auch wenn man gut zu Fuß ist läuft man nicht mal Abends zum Essen in ein Restaurant. Dafür ist der Weg zu beschwerlich. Einkaufen sollte gut geplant sein. Die Agentur vor Ort ist sehr gut. Wir stellten fest 3 Sonnenliegen beschädigt waren und riefen kurz an. 1,5 Stunden später hatten wir 6 komplett neue Liegen. Besser geht es nicht. Abschließend können wir die Finca 100% weiter Empfehlen.
