Paid extra for the suite thinking it would be more comfortable but unfortunately the bed was really uncomfortable. We like visiting North Wales to go out and explore the natural beauty of the area and relax in the evening but unfortunately there wasn’t much comfort in the room, the fridge wasn’t even cold and the tv didn’t even have free view which isn’t normal a problem as we always take our Apple TV with us but unfortunately there was no power point to plug it into. Was very disappointed about this hotel as the pictures look fantastic but the and is such a shame as the hotel has a lot of potential. As North Wales is a favourite place for us especially that area this could have been a regular hotel for us to visit. I did bring this to the attention of the hotel staff which I will say did try their best to resolve this by showing us another room but it was just the same .

Fabulous hotel, perfect from check in to check out. Big thank you to the girls in the spa, the receptionist with the long curly hair and the 2 girls who did our massages who didn’t make us feel uncomfortable when we got a case of the severe giggles and couldn’t hold it together! This was a much needed break for me and my daughter after a lot of recent sadness and that memory will stay with us forever, so thank you ! It made our weekend. Main reception, bar and restaurant staff fabulous, room stunning, food and drinks excellent, was sad to check out and we will definitely return ❤️

Surprised to drive up to this very modern hotel in the rural location. Checkin was easy and we were greeted with a friendly welcome. Room was spacious, bed a little hard for my liking. Bathroom was clean and modern with separate room for the toilet and shower. Breakfast in the morning was good and there was plenty to choose from. Our stay was a great experience. All staff were helpful and friendly.

Lovely staff

Very clean other than some of the outside seating which had quite a bit of dog hair. Staff were absolutely lovely and couldn't be more helpful and accommodating. Breakfast was a little disappointing, especially in terms of vegetarian options and didn't really match the standards of the rest of the experience.

Fabulous property nothing was too much trouble for the staff, we had an accessible room for our disabled son which was amazing and an interconnected door to our room next door. Would definitely stay again. Food was very nice too.

The hotel was ideally placed for our long weekend break in north Wales. The hotel staff were outstanding throughout and made my wife and I very welcome. The evening meals were a particular highlight. One glitch for the breakfasts, both coffee machines broke down. Staff reacted well with filter coffee made available quite quickly. Our room was superb, impeccably clean, spacious and with excellent views. We saved the spa for next time and will be back!

Wedding prioritised over other guests

After we booked we were informed that there was a wedding on the night of our stay but we were reassured that this wouldn’t impact us. However we were placed in a room directly above the evening reception and could very clearly hear the load music. Also we had 2 dogs with us, we had pre booked a table for our evening meal in the lower seating dog friendly area but on arrival for our meal we were informed that only high seating was available so we wouldn’t be close to the dogs, therefore we ended up sitting outside instead. Luckily the weather was ok.

Disappointing stay

Staff were hit and miss - some were friendly and helpful, whilst others were a bit standoffish. Hotel food from the bar was very average, not good for price. The breakfast buffet had variety and that was enjoyable. When I rang the hotel, they said the spa was £20 for 2 hours usage, but the pool and gym were free. This turned out to be untrue, the spa was £25pp and there was no general pool. The room was good, has enough space and was well lit, had good amenities and was comfortable. However, the sheets weren’t refreshed/replaced during our stay.
