1. Check-in experience
Upon arrival, the receptionist attempted to check me in under another guest’s name. Despite me showing my booking confirmation, she continued trying to charge me again and insisted that my booking was for a single room when it was a double.
As a homosexual couple visiting the county, this created a sense of anxiety and discomfort, as we were momentarily concerned we would not be able to share the room we booked. This made the check-in process unnecessarily stressful and left a poor first impression.
2. Room cleanliness and comfort
The beds were extremely uncomfortable.
The bed linens did not appear to be clean, raising concerns about hygiene and overall housekeeping standards.
The towels provided were of very poor quality.
We required extra pillows, which were kindly provided by the housekeeping staff. Their assistance was appreciated.
3. Bathroom condition
The bath was not properly sealed, causing leaks.
The shower pressure was very low, making it difficult to use.
4. Noise levels
Our room was located right next to the landing and lifts, which resulted in significant noise throughout the night. This made it difficult to sleep and further impacted the comfort of our stay
5. Check-out experience
When checking out, we were not asked how our stay had been. As we attempted to raise the issues listed above, the receptionist began speaking to her colleague instead of listening. This came across as dismissive and unprofessional, preventing us advising
