Noisy and unapologetic staff

We were placed in a room where immediately below our window was a skip (part of building works for the hotel, which were not mentioned when booking). On the first day, we were woken up by builders throwing things heavily into the skip at 7am! This went on for over an hour, at which point I went downstairs to ask to move rooms to a side of the hotel which was not next to the building work. The receptionist agreed to move us but did not apologise for the inconvenience. After having to spend a day with all our stuff packed up again, we were then placed in a room which was still next for the building work so we could still hear the noise and were woken up by 7am every day. In addition to this, in our first room, the AC didn’t work so the room temperature was stuck at 25 degrees and we couldn’t change it. I mentioned this when asking to be moved and the new room we got didn’t have any AC and was equally as hot. This meant we had to sleep with the windows open but then the noise from the builders was worse. Very disappointing as I booked it for my boyfriend’s 30th birthday so wanted to relax but couldn’t because we barely got any sleep. There was no attempt to apologise by the staff and it was very frustrating. The placement of the new room was especially frustrating as the hotel is large and many other areas were not near the building works.

Location is excellent to explore the city. The room was really nice and clean but on the smaller size, quite petite and we missed having sleepers, also no big towels or bathrobe available. We understand that this is probably helping the hotel to be more environmentally friendly but it felt a bit basic for the price. The check in/ check out process was super fast and convenient and the staff was really helpful. Overall a really nice hotel to stay for a short visit.

Lovely hotel, perfect location! Easy access via public transport from the airport. Rooms were very spacious and modern. Service was great and friendly! Only 2 downsides - breakfast was very expensive, we just had it once during our stay; and the hotel room floors could have done with mopping - quite dirty!

Overall a wonderful hotel

Really enjoyed my experience over all at this hotel. Rooms are very spacious and the design is excellent. The hotel bar is also very cool. A few small things that people considering the hotel may want to know... It is across from a music venue so depending on which room you get and if there is a performance, it could be an issue for you if you're a light sleeper. I had no noise issues during my stay but I was on a high floor. Also, if you want your roomed cleaned you must inform them by 9am or they won't do it. So if you're a late sleeper, don't expect a clean room. Lastly, they charge by the hour for late check out (roughly $20 an hour) and will not offer any extra time as a courtesy even if the hotel is not fully booked.

Great stay at Wide hotel. Good location, very clean and excellent breakfast choices. Staff very helpful and friendly too. Easy walk to Norrebro and good for transport links for city.
