Calliope - Four Bedroom Villa, Sleeps 8

Glorious sea views and a heatable pool just a short walk from the beaches, bars and tavernas of Kassiopi.

With its 180-degree panoramas of the Ionian and its enviable seafront position, Calliope is perfect for anyone who wishes to have the sound of the sea as a constant companion to their holiday. Added to this is the good news that the beaches, bars, tavernas and nightlife of Kassiopi are just an easy stroll away.

Inside: accommodation at Calliope is spread over three floors. The main entrance takes one in to the bright, voluminous open-plan living and dining area, which features a creamy-coloured Corfiot stone wall, floor-to-ceiling glass doors that bring in the sea views and offer access to the terraces and gardens, a large sofa and a dining table.

Just off the living and dining area is a well-equipped kitchen, which conveniently accesses the al fresco dining and cooking area. Another door off the living area leads to a double-twin bedroom with wonderful sea views, an en-suite shower room and French windows opening out onto the terraces.

A flight of stairs takes one up to the first floor and the main sleeping quarters comprising a main double bedroom with en-suite shower room and access to a super-panoramic sea-view terrace, and a second double, also boasting great sea views, with an adjacent shower room. Another flight of stairs leads from the first floor landing to the second floor, where, under the eaves, is a twin-double bedroom with en-suite shower room.

Outside: multiple glass doors open out onto the extensive sea-facing stone-flagged terraces that surround Calliope on two sides. The main al fresco living area is accessed down a few steps from the indoor living area and offers a shady spot from which to survey the sea views.

A built-in BBQ is conveniently located outside the kitchen, both of which serve the covered outdoor dining area, arguably the best table in town. Long convivial dinners taken here, under the stars and to the sound of the lapping sea, will last in your memory long after your return home.

A few steps further on is the large heatable pool whose surrounding terraces boast plenty of space for all your group and yet more of those stunning sea views.

Calliope features a fantastic infinity pool, offering swimmers stunning views while in the pool. There is a drop off the infinity side so we recommend children are supervised at all times. Please refer to our general safety page if you would like more information about infinity pools.

Calliope is attached to another house on one side yet remains very private.

There is a sofa-bed in bedroom 4 that can be made up as an extra bed, bringing the overall capacity to 9. Available on request, at an additional charge.

The villa has resident cats, who you will likely see in the grounds. They will not, however, enter the house unless encouraged to do so.
Calliope sits on a little promontory in the northeast of Corfu, just 800m outside popular Kassiopi, with its tavernas, bars and nightlife. The town's beaches are just 250m and 400m away. A little lane running behind the house makes it easy to walk to both the beaches and the town's centre. Other beaches nearby include Agios Spiridon and lovely Avlaki, one of the island's most beautiful. Corfu Town, which is well worth a visit or two, is approximately 1 hour's drive south, and there are plenty of spots to stop off at for a swim on the way. Corfu's mountainous hinterland, where you can enjoy great walking and a different atmosphere from that of the coast, is within easy striking distance. A visit to the deserted town of Old Perithia is an easy and fascinating trip. There are also plenty of activities for kids nearby.
