Cute but read the description

I booked for my boyfriend and I as we were doing a trip around the lake this weekend. Out of the three this was the one we were both most excited for due to the pictures, location, and donkeys lol. When we arrived the cabin was super cold and there were muddy dog prints by the bed and chair in the corner. we couldn’t get the heater to turn on and I called the host, no answer, messaged her then she answered. Sent her husband who was clearly flustered and they eventually fixed it. However, my biggest issue with my stay is that our “minimal” lighting was a single light bulb that didn’t work at all, so we were stuck with no light all night. When I opened the messager to text her about the lights she sent a message earlier asking if I wanted to rent a generator which I’m unsure why they didn’t mention that when they were both in the cabin earlier. Overall, very disappointed in the stay it felt like it wasn’t really set or ready for us. I would recommend maybe putting some sort of cabin rules on the table by the door so guests are more aware or directions to start the heater.

Travelled with family
It’s a charming little one room cabin. If you’re into rustic it’s for you. Right behind the cabin donkeys are grazing and very cute. I was aware there wasn’t running water and the toilet was compost, but I couldn’t handle a commode so close to the bed. It was clean enough inside and nicely decorated. The lawn chairs outside were somewhat rotted and worn out with a nest of some sort inside when we unfolded one. Bird poop on the entry handrail…With alittle more attention to detail it could be better. We elected not to stay and left shortly after viewing the property.
