Welcome to Mermaid Cove Pathway to the Sea, the perfect family beach escape with stunning ocean views and a private pathway that leads you straight to where the ocean meets the seawall. From the moment you arrive, you'll feel right at home in this bright and coastal condo that blends comfort, convenience, and a little extra fun. Whether you're streaming your favorite music and movies, relaxing after a beach day, or trying out a new recipe in the kitchen, this home is thoughtfully stocked to make your stay easy and memorable.
Start your mornings with a latte or cappuccino from the Keurig K-Cafe, then head out to enjoy the large community pool or take a peaceful walk down the secluded boardwalk to the beach. With smart technology features, family-friendly sleeping space, and unbeatable access to sun and surf, Mermaid Cove is the kind of place you'll want to return to year after year.

MANAGEMENT AGREEMENT

• A signed Property Management Rental Agreement Contract is mandatory upon booking
• Also required is a copy of your driver's license to receive check-in instructions
• Contracting guests of Port A Beach House Company must be 25 years of age or older

CLEANING AND INSPECTION

• We use disinfecting products that meet or exceed CDC performance standards
• Every property is stocked with bath towels and washcloths for the maximum occupancy of the property, along with one hand towel per bathroom
• We inspect every property to make sure it is up to standard and ready for your family's arrival

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

• A two-night minimum stay is required
• Check-in time is approximate; housekeeping and maintenance make all attempts to be ready by 4 pm, but there is no guarantee
• Starter set for guests includes two trash bags, dish soap, two dishwashing pods, one toilet paper roll per bathroom, one paper towel roll, and mini toiletry supplies. Guests should bring extra amounts as the starter set is for 1 night, and we will not resupply the home
• Construction is always happening somewhere in Port Aransas; we can't guarantee that you won't hear or see construction, building, or community improvement projects and events during your stay
• Cable/WIFI is provided as a convenience; Port A does experience outages from time to time. There are no refunds for outages of cable/WIFI or if the city pool is closed for cleaning, repair, or maintenance
• Please remember that you are on an island; mosquitoes/pests can be plentiful several times per year. Our properties are treated by a professional pest control service every month

It is a great condo, super close to the beach. The bathrooms are updated compared with others we have stayed. We loved the bunk beds for meeting up with friends and their kids. We enjoyed making lots of fun memories and playing games back at the condo.We cooked and grilled at the condo for most of our meals.We had all the basic essentials. Pathway to the Sea was a great end to Summer with relaxing fun days at the beach for our family.

It was a perfect little place for our family

Our stay over all was great only thing is we got one roll of toilet paper one roll of paper towels. No laundry detergent. The price for also not having many cooking utensils was a little over. Beautiful area though. Other than that small complain we loved and enjoyed every minute of our stay. Beautiful place.there was also quite a bit of things broken we noticed as we arrived.

The location was great and within walking distance to the beach. The pool was a nice break in the evening. A couple cons would be being on the 3rd floor, air not getting cool enough during the day and the wagon and cooler I thought I could use on the porch were broken or rotten. I absolutely loved having the washer/dryer and full kitchen. However, the dryer could probably use some maintenance, as it takes a very long time to dry the clothes. The condo was clean upon arrival. One strange incident, a man had the code to our place and opened the door in mid afternoon. He said he was maintenance and did not know that we were staying there. He seemed nervous and asked if we had parking passes. In the moment I just went along with the conversation, but afterwards really wondered why he would just walk in because we had not called anyone up. Overall we had a great time as a family. My kids ages were 22,21,17, 15, 14, 11, 4. I was really impressed that there were little toys and legos available for the little one and also board games for the big kids. The walk to the beach isn't bad, but I did end of buying a beach permit for $12 to park on the beach so we wouldn't have to carry everything. We will definately be back.

Very Nice place!

Super close to everything! Very comfortable for a large group. We had some problems with the electricity but the property management did everything to resolve it in a timely manner. We will book again if we go back to Corpus.

Pleasant stay - close to the beach

Our family of six stayed comfortably here and enjoyed the close proximity to the beach. The three tier bunk bed is a bit shaky and should probably be reinforced or bolted to the wall.

Good but needs some attention to details

We are a family of 6 that didn't have any major problems with the condo. What we did note can be attributed to the cleaning service and not the unit itself. Understanding it is Padre Island, steps away from the beach, we are not averse to the local wildlife seeking refuge from the heat too! The patio is perfect for morning coffee and enjoying the fresh marine air in the mornings, but double check the cushions as we found an active mud dobber nest behind the pillows. There were also some cleanliness issues with the bidet in the master bathroom. While we didn't use the feature, it did need a deeper cleaning then it was when we occupied the condo. We did that deeper cleaning on our own. As with many vacation rentals, be prepared for some shopping if you plan to make meals to include your own spices, only the minimal basic stuff is there. Some pots and pans were not clean, with many still having hard crusted food residue. We cleaned as best as we could with what was in the condo for doing such a task. The air conditioner settings are locked at their current settings, I could not figure out how to change the temp settings. But it was set at a comfortable cool setting at night. Also fortunately, the ceilings fan were in good working order and ran non stop day and night for us. We were not in the condo during the late morning into afternoon hours so can't tell you how well the unit retains the cooling, but it is on the side of the building that takes direct afternoon Sun. This place served its purpose well, with comfy bunk beds for the kids, but the master bedroom bed was heavily dimpled on one side of the bed, either needs to be flipped or replaced. But if you are tired enough, you won't have a problem sleeping, it wasn't that uncomfortable. 4 out of 5 stars is pretty accurate, maybe 3.75 stars, unless you are really picky and willing to pay for something more expensive, I would recommend this rental, since you don't come to Padre to hang out indoors the whole time!

A perfect place!

Our family of 6 loved staying in this beautiful condo. Our 3 older kiddos loved the kids room and bunk beds, all of the toys, games, etc. We brought a pack and play for our baby and it fit perfectly in the master closet. The house has everything you need! The private walkway to the beach was easily managed by our kids (ages 6, 4, 4) and stroller. The condo pool area was great and the overall location cannot be beat. We will be back!

Spring Break 2022

The property was very clean and a close to beach access. The third floor is a climb but we made it! We had some AC and alarm issues but maintenance was quick and got it fixed and taken care of! I would say if there was a downfall was the the heated pool was never heated. My little girls were looking forward to that. Very clean and plenty of towels and space. Would definitely stay here again!
