Overall a good experience

It was a great trip. Great location across the street from the Park. Can get around the island and beach easily from the hotel. The rooms were great! The couple of things I was not real comfortable with were the set up of room doors to the lobby is not private enough for me and you can hear everything going on in other rooms. Overall a good experience.

Always a great stay great location on port A

Very pleasant. We have stayed several times. Walls are a little thin but no big deal. Breakfast is some fruit, pastries, cereal, no hot items. It is not a Hampton Innn breakfast but it’s way cheaper to stay here. Eat breakfast somewhere else. Will definitely be back!

OK, but "not what it used to be."

We have stayed at The Place Hotel in the past and it is OK, but it "isn’t what it used to be." A portion of the parking is now a golf cart rental making parking a bit of a challenge, it isn’t as clean as it used to be and the "free" breakfast leaves a little to be desired. The fact that there were 5 or 6 gentleman that were obviously working on a construction project in the area having a beer party at the front door for a couple of hours in the late afternoon wasn’t quite what I enjoy seeing when returning to the property after an outing.

The room was extremely large and clean. Bathroom was clean and stocked. We arrived really late and i felt safe in the parking lot, the hotel felt more like a peaceful but fun space, staff was super friendly, everything was super clean. The ac in our room quickly cooled down and the beds was comfortable. There was also a ceiling fan. What a treat for the price! Beats staying in Corpus Christi where you get far less for more money. The breakfast wasn’t a hot meal, but they had cereal, breads, fruit, chocolate and regular milk. That was more than enough for us!
