This property was so wonderful! Lovely cabin with comfortable beds, beautiful grounds and close to Cradle National Park. We would DEFINITELY stay here again!
We were in the cabin (Myrtle ) and were gobsmacked when we sat on our verandah to have a Drink and looked out to a direct view of cradle mountain , cabin was Amazing and has been one of the highlights of our Tassie Adventure. You will not be disappointed staying here !
close to the buses into the national park quiet and a bush setting
I would have rated this place higher apart from the gas heater not working ok because it was mild. The large gas cooktop didn’t work properly and was dangerous
Cute and cozy private cabins! Well stocked kitchen with everything we needed to make several meals. Right across from Visitor center. Excellent communication with front desk and were happy to answer all our questions.
Lovely log cabin vibe! The accommodation was clean and the facilities were great - right down to the log fire ready to go after we came back from dinner. Quiet and peaceful after an awesome day hiking.

The welcome and helpfulness from the reception member of staff was excellent. Although we arrived well ahead of check-in as we did not realise it was across the road from the shuttle bus to take us to walk the Dove Lake circuit, she kindly stored some grocery items in their fridge before transferring them to our cabin once the room was available. We loved the peace and quiet and on such a beautiful evening enjoyed a BBQ (gas fired). The cabin not surprising was designed/kitted out for the cold rather than the heat. This was easily the most expensive property we booked in a 4 week tour of South Western Australia and Tasmania, though cabin fixtures/fittings were a bit dated, lacked “personal touches” of many of the other properties. The Internet was terrible which cannot all be put down to the location especially when they advertised you could use up to 5 devices and we could barely get connection with one phone at a time and even if we could use more devices you were restricted to 2gb. All this possibly reflects a lack of competition and stronger demand than other areas but overall we still very much enjoyed our visit to the Cradle Mountains.
Great base for Cradle Mountain. Walk to shuttle buses or tavern at Cradle Mountain Lodge. We had wallabies outside our window at breakfast.

Great experience
Very pleasant, peaceful and relaxing experience. Hotel is perfect and the restaurant is surprisingly good with high quality food.
Will definitely stay here again.
This was by far our favourite stay whilst we were in Tasmania, we were welcomed by a lovely fireplace already setup for us which kept the room nice and cosy the entire time we were there. The cabins are so close to everything at Cradle Mountain. The cabin was so cosy with a lovely four poster bed, spa bath and full kitchen with basics. Will be recommending this place to everyone in the future

This was a cute cabin in the woods right next to the entrance for Cradle Mountain. There is few dining options around which they inform you of beforehand but the staff are incredibly helpful; even lighting our fire for us. Great experience
We loved our little "Wombat" cabin. So cozy with the wood burning fire. Have to keep this full as the nights do get cold. We had plenty of wood filled up right outside our cabin. Loved the layout with a queen bed and bunk beds if there are others in your party. The kitchen has all the conveniences for cooking. We just had some trouble using the oven as it was a gas oven but the stove worked fine. Bathroom and shower was very comfortable. Just a short walk to the cradle mountain visiting centre. Staff at Cradle HIghlander are very communicative and responsive. We loved our stay here and would love to come back.
Was a cold rainy day when we checked in and found fire going in lounge. Well equipped kitchen and relaxing spa bath. Receptionist was very friendly and helpful.
This property is directly opposite the Welcome Centre for the park. We shared a toasty warm studio -rustic but absolutely adequate for our needs. Good selection of DVDs
Liked having the local wildlife on our step. A wombat tried to join us inside. We saw a pademelon and currawong. So curious.
Dined up the road at the Tavern. We went early and avoided the rush.
Was nice to have a log fire as the temperature went right down.
What a fabulous location. Friendly reception, absolutely lovely cabin with fully appointed kitchen, gas-fireplace, close to several wonderful activities (Cradle Mountain and Tasmanian Devil reserve), beautiful view from all of our windows. COMFORTABLE beds and great shower.
HIGHLY RECOMMEND.
The Bushmans Hut was perfect for our stay in Cradle Mountain. The cabin is compact, cosy and the pot belly stove kept the place nice and warm. It’s great for 2 people and has everything you need to cook your own food.
Wildlife visited us right on our doorstep.
The property is located just across from the visitor center where you can catch the shuttle bus to the National Park.
Would stay there again.
Everything that you could possibly need has been prepared.

A good place for animal lovers
Excellent communication with the cottage staff. We got to check in a bit earlier. Very friendly staff and cozy cottage. It has everything we need for a two night stay. Just step away from the visitor center, yet we were like in the wildness with wombat and wallaby and birds visiting. Excellent value for the price.

Walking in the Cradle Mountains
Very cozy cabin, even with very chilly weather outside. A great spot for exploring the Cradle Mountains footpaths.
