Recognizing the age of the building, I didn’t expect extravagant. Stained carpets, dirty windows, small TV for the distance from the bed outdated the room further.

We are from Dallas and when we want to get away and hangout in Deep Ellum. We always stay here . Room are super nice , bed is soft. Everything is clean Nd they provide the guest with 2 free bottle waters which it’s the little things that count.

Not Worth a Repeat Stay

The staff at the hotel were very friendly and pleasant, which I truly appreciated. While the hotel is definitely dated, it was at least clean. Unfortunately, the bed in my room was extremely uncomfortable, I could feel the springs through the mattress, which made it hard to sleep. The room itself felt old, both in appearance and smell, and lacked basic amenities like a luggage rack, which most hotels typically provide. Being in Dallas, the noise from late-night traffic, including racing cars and motorcycles, was pretty loud. I’d recommend requesting a room higher than the 10th floor to possibly reduce the street noise. Overall, the experience didn’t match the photos online, the pictures made the hotel look much more upbeat and comfortable than it actually was. Because of that and the extremely uncomfortable bed which I was shocked from because most reviews said the beds were comfortable, so I was surprised when not sharing the same experience , I likely wouldn’t stay here again.

Lovely hotel in Downtown District

The Magnolia is a beautiful hotel with lots of history. Staff were friendly and polite and the rooms were clean and spacious. It is in a lovely area with many historic buildings around and great food options close by. Also an easy walk to the JFK Museum, Dallas Art Museum and other points of interest. I would certainly recommend this hotel.

The old structure was nice to look at. Rooms could have been cleaner. Something was leaking in our room carpet soaked through. Noise level in the street as late as midnight was really high. I would not recommend staying here for the price.

I enjoyed the stay. The only complaint I have is the TV is in poor shape. The picture is dim. I tried to find the brightness button but there wasn’t any, if I am correct. There is no such button in the setting, either.

Isn’t how it looks from the outside

The Hotel looks great outside, inside it’s nice but the rooms look so old fashioned. Too dark. You can even see a beautiful view because the windows are too old and have lots of water stain on it. The bath tiles have mold and the tub look dirty but the carpet is a nightmare. The tv is 32” plasma, so you can watch only cable channels because it’s not smart tv. I cancelled my reservation the second day.
