Very poor property. Our room had a small water issue flooding the floor in the middle of the night. Scary area. Mattresses leaning up against side of building, light fixtures and sockets not working. Very, very poor

I was driving from Toronto through Quebec, New Brunswick, PEI, and Nova Scotia and stayed at several motels along the way, the Lake City Motel was the worst place I had ever stayed in, unfortunately it was for two nights. The bottom of the box spring on one bed was completely ripped and hanging out on the floor, neither of the box springs were covered, they were exposed and stained. The beige blankets were completely moth eaten and full of holes and cuts. When we moved those the bedsheets had a large blue ink stain as well as a yellow one, no idea what that was. In the middle of the night one of the headboards came off the wall and we had to put it back on. I went to put something in the desk drawer, the drawer front wasn’t attached to the rest of the drawer. The tap in the bathroom was not properly attached to the sink and would move around when you tried to use it. There was a new toilet seat installed, however, it was a long oval shaped on a smaller round toilet, so the seat actually stuck out three inches in front of the toilet and the front of the bowl was in the seat opening. The tub was rusty and they had tried to cover it up with silicone sealant. The shower curtain rail was completely rusted. There was plenty of hot water but I did not shower until I got to my next hotel in Montreal.

My husband got between 20-30 bed bug bites on his neck, arm, back and legs. Luckily, I slept on the other bed and didnt get eaten alive.

Bathroom ceiling moldy and bad smell coming from bathroom. Had to keep the door closed the entire time. Many surfaces (radiators, ceiling near fan in central area, switches, windowsills, behind and underneath furniture, etc.) not clean. Generally quiet, but one incident involving three police cars one evening we were there. Staff pleasant and helpful. Water problem meant we had to use bottled water for drinking and brushing teeth. Extensive stairs, carrying heavy luggage, to get to room.
