Not a good experience!

The weekend family trip for a soccer tournament was marred by several issues at the hotel. The daytime front desk clerk was commendable; however, the hotel corridors exhibited an unpleasant odor, presumably originating from the carpeting. The elevators were in a state of disrepair, with soiled doorways. The room was superficially cleaned but also possessed an odor, necessitating a thorough cleaning before occupancy. A drinking fountain in the lobby was excessively dirty, with noticeable grime accumulation. A side entrance was unsecured due to a malfunction. The swimming pool's heating system was inoperable, rendering the water uncomfortably cold. Additionally, the pancake machine was out of service during breakfast, and the overall food quality was poor. The hotel's lack of cleanliness was notably disconcerting. Very disappointed in the care for this hotel.

The pool heater was broke and as well as the pool area being extremely dated. We were a ball team staying and for the pool to be ice cold when the team was looking forward to enjoying after games. $170 for one night and no access to the pool was disappointing

Not the worse not the best..

Check in was fast and both people at the desk were friendly. The pool was out of service so dont go for the pool. Only saw one smaller elevator for the entire hotel. Room was nice and everything was clean and stocked with towels. I will say some parts of the hotel had a smell almost as if the carpets in the hallway were wet at some point. But didnt smell anything in the room. I was disappointed with the breakfast and it was empty for the most part and the pancake maker was broken and theres not alot of seating in the dinning area. Overall not the worse but definitely not the best holiday day inn ive stayed.

It was very clean and conveniently near the highway. Lots of dining and shopping around. Breakfast was average. Pancake machine was broke, not many people were staying from what I could see and there was a sign that said not a lot of cinnamon rolls were made and to be mindful of others but they were all gone. Eggs and bacon were completly gone didn’t find many juice options. There still was an hour left of breakfast to be served so that part may have been lacking a bit.

Hotel pool was closed for service during our stay which was pretty upsetting for our kids. Cleanliness in the rooms needs attention and several of the USB outlets didn't work in both rooms. The toilet would leak a brown fluid through the caulk every time the toilet was flushed. Check in lady was friendly in the evening!

No where in Expedia or the hotels website did it say the pool was closed, I even double checked the website the day before to see the pools open hours. Once I arrived at the hotel I saw the sign from the front desk and I didn’t want to check in because the pool was the biggest amenity I was looking for. The front desk worker said they had been telling whom ever that they needed to update the websites about that. I was never called, texted, emailed, messaged on Expedia or anything about it. I tried to cancel the reservation but they said it was too late and I would have to contact Expedia, which I did and the reply I received was “ Unfortunately, after multiple tries, we weren't able to obtain an approval from the property manager to waive the cancellation fee.”. I will never book here again. I am very disappointed they didn’t refund my reservation for the inconvenience on THEIR end. We ended up staying next door at the Hampton Inn and it was a great stay there, the pool was open, they had a great breakfast and the staff was very kind. Do not stay at the Holiday Inn if you’re trying to take your kids swimming while out of town, they will not contact you about their pool not being functional.
