I am a Californian, but an Anglophile at heart. This hotel is reminiscent of the British Raj times and Downton Abbey. There are many photos in the hotel showcasing its history of monarchs and their retinue that have graced the hotel. The rooms were very clean. The food in both the restaurants were great and the wait staff did an amazing job Overall a great and unique experience.

We stayed in a luxury suite which was well worth the extra expense, though not a great deal for those from the Global North. Service was excellent in the restaurants and front desk with a centralised tipping system that avoided moments of awkwardness. Breakfasts were amazing with a mixture of Eastern and Western dishes, some cooked order if required. Both of the restaurants were good wit the Garden Terrace offering a wider choice for those wanting a break from Indian cuisine. The service in both was pleasant and attentive. The pool was a welcome facility, prettily and quiet. In fact the garden setting and sense of space made a welcome relief from the bustle, chaos and attraction of Delhi. Perhaps the only minor negative feature was that the hotel was quite a distance from many of the major must-see sites.

A wonderful, historic hotel. Built in 1903 and situated in the Civil Lines area of Delhi, this is definitely a place you should consider. It goes without saying that the public areas, grounds and rooms are spot-on, well-maintained and spotlessly clean. The real selling point here though is the service. I can honestly say that the staff here, from the General Manager down, provided some of the best service I have ever experienced. Unfortunately, my luggage was mislaid by the airline and I was without it for 2 days. The staff couldn’t have been more supportive and provided me with essentials and even clothing as well as ordering a cab to take me to a local shopping centre to purchase a couple of items. Everyone was friendly, helpful and kind and I was frequently greeted by name around the hotel. Outstanding and highly recommended hotel in a nice, green area away from the hustle and bustle and with a number of bars and dining options within a 5 minute walk – as well as the Civil Lines Metro station which will connect you with anywhere in the city.

What a treat ! my first stay in India was the maidens hotel and I couldn't be happier with the hotel , the staff, the architecture and the everything this gorgeous hotel has to offer. First, the architecture is stunning. The pool and the garden are so beautiful and well maintained. It 'is quiet and clean and the staff are so nice. Once you are inside the maidens , you will be transported to another era , another time . while it is noisy, and dirty outside ( it is Delhi !! ) once you are inside, you are on a bubble of serenity, quitness and peace.

This was my second stay at Maidens Hotel, and it was just as wonderful as the first. The property is beautiful and well maintained, with a quiet, peaceful atmosphere that makes it feel like a retreat from the busy city. The deluxe room was spacious, comfortable, and very well kept. The food was excellent, and the service truly stood out—personal, attentive, and always friendly. While the location is in a quieter part of Delhi, I actually prefer it that way, and getting to the main city is easy with a quick 30–40 minute Uber ride. Overall, amazing property, great food, and outstanding service. I highly recommend it and will definitely be booking again.

The staff are swift and keen to please. Service was fast, the hotel is lovely and the pool is stunning. The rooms are well air conditioned, clean and fresh. Internet strength depends where you are in the hotel, but wasn’t a problem. TV channels were global- so lots of choice. Hotel is old architecture, an oasis amidst the noise of Delhi. The location is good for Chandani Chowk, I got Ubers or hailed a local Rickshaw easily. The Manager Prachi was very professional and always visible and on hand helping guests. Will return with family.

This was truly a wonderful experience to stay at this hotel. The staff couldn’t have done anymore to make our stay wonderful. There was so many special touches like special free drinks around the pool Rose water. My daughter is Celiac and the dining staff were wonderful in making her platters of food that she could eat. The rooms are huge and very comfortable. I would recommend this hotel over and over again.

This historic hotel dates back to the British Colonial era and still retains classic details. It is an oasis of park-like grounds, comfortable rooms, friendly attentive service and good food offerings. Of all these features what really makes it special is the staff. You feel welcome and important from the moment you enter until you check out. In our case the general manager went so far as to contact our next Oberoi hotel destination in Agra and ensure we received the same warm reception there.

Excellent stays. We split up our time in India and Nepal and used Maiden’s as our home base. We left unneeded luggage at the hotel for different legs of our trip. We were warmly welcomed “home” each of the three stays. Our adult children had their own suite and loved the amenities. The pool area is wonderful, with peacocks, parakeets and dozens of other kinds of birds. Silky water to soothe sore feet and cool off comfortably after a day of touristing.

OMG. Maidens, where have you been hiding? I've traveled to Delhi for decades. The Taj Palace & The Leela are like home. Familiar faces, familiar comforts. This time, I needed a hotel near the hospital where my mom was having surgery. The Maidens. Turning into the driveway, I was hit with a wow. Grand arches. Sweeping balconies. White Indo-Colonial architecture. A quiet, elegant lobby. Not trying too hard to impress. The Maidens lets its soul speak. I couldn't stop turning my head, breathing in every small detail. I didn’t grow up with this kind of glamour, but it still felt familiar. Even the sweet, rose-water-infused welcome drink—I could taste my childhood in it. The feeling continued into my suite: soaring ceilings, antique floors, an elegant, quiet bedroom. The best 4 hours of sleep I’ve had in ages. Knowing I'd leave early, I had a packed breakfast waiting for me. Small gesture. Huge impact. One last thing—when I stepped outside, I was hit with this heady, gorgeous fragrance—jasmine maybe? The air was full of it. Not a curated hotel scent (no insult intended, Taj & Leela). This was real. Organic. If I had to describe my experience in one sentence—it felt like running barefoot across a hot aangan, a feeling only Indians can understand. I still love you Taj & Leela, but the Maidens did what you can't. It made me feel happy. Special shoutout to Deepika for fixing my botched booking & upgrading me to a suite. Also, where did you get your period lights? I must know!!
