Disliked: Cleanliness, check-in, communication, location, listing accuracy
"Disgusted" is the only word I can use to describe my experience. I booked this property for my son's birthday, drove 7hrs (one way) with my kids and dog to get there just to find people were already in the house because the owners double booked it on a different site and never let me know. I immediately messaged them letting them know the situation and NOBODY responded. So we were stuck on the side of the road at dark, 7hrs from home, with nowhere to go, no response from the owners. (A nice man down the road tried helping us find a motel for the night and let us know this wasn't the first time these people had done this.) We all tried finding a motel for the night but they either didn't allow dogs or their offices were closed. We were stranded and the only option we had was to drive back home. 14 hours of driving in one day, I took 4 days off from work, lost 100 in groceries that didn't survive the trip, spent a lot of money for gas, and most importantly, the birthday weekend was ruined. I called VRBO for a refund (which I received) and the only response I ever received from the owner Cathy was "we have processed your refund, please refer to your bank for updates." No acknowledgment of what happened, no apology, no respect. Terrible situation, even worse people with no values. There are so many nicer homes in this area. No need to deal with unprofessional, unapologetic people. Book with anyone but Cathy and Keith!!
