I booked a three-day hotel reservation in Denver, Colorado. Unfortunately, my arrival was delayed due to airport issues, a car accident, and even a flat tire. I finally arrived at the hotel just before 10 PM, only to find the place already closed. When I checked my phone, I saw a text message stating that the hotel closes at 10 PM. I called, but of course, no one answered.
I admit it was my fault for not checking my phone earlier, but I had no idea the hotel would close at that time. That night, I had no choice but to check into another hotel.
The next morning, when I went to Citi Inn, I was told there were no vacancies. I explained that I had booked for three nights, but they said my booking had been canceled. They also told me that since I booked through Expedia, I should expect a call and a refund. However, Expedia never contacted me.
Later that night, I called Expedia myself. They tried to reach Citi Inn, but no one answered. The following day, Expedia finally called me back only to say that the hotel never refunded my money.
It’s a shame for a place with such good ratings to operate this way.
